wouldn't it be fun to give them a massive CB and high WS but normally low stats, transforming them into a unique shock infantry in the dwarf roster that stands apart from other GW choices?

this way they would be fun to use, physically accurate and actually usefull

    Actually, miners should get a deployment ability akin to the MfB summons Skaven have. Like you can spend extra cash at the start of a battle to have a unit start hidden underground. So more like some sort of living minefield.

    Yeah that's very much in keeping with the non BC version and would synergize perfectly with vanguard.

    I'd much rather have a melee ranger variant. Make it a stalk vanguard axe and board unit. Also give it a bit of bonus movespeed when stealthed (to offset dwarfs tragically slow speed). It would be so refreshing for the faction.

    But miners deploying like skaven would be nice too.

    They need a rework. They're not supposed to be a vanguard DWGW with artillery crew stats.

    Massive CB would also be fitting to TT since they hit with 6S on charge. That is like same as Boar Boys.

    Yeah they just need to be reworked/uptiered. Not against buffing cb and ws but focusing only on these will make any rework for them awkward, and for a unit that would finally like to see itself vanguarded, some stats buffs are required to give it some sort of dependency.

    On the subject of cb, especially for great weapons, i'd love to see the resolute(?) rule to be finally considered, but that's another topic.

    Would really need a dwarf Lord with vanguard if the plan is to enable all vanguard armies. No way Thorgrim or the runelord are going to waddle over to their vanguarded army before the fighting is all over.

    Nah, all vanguard armies should be more of a beastmen/WE thing. There is one full vanguard build but is gimmicky and frankly should remain as such. But to be able to vanguard at all, without gimmicks, as dawi would be nice. Some vanguard ambush/flanking tacticts should become a thing, if a player chooses so. The dwarfs are slow as it is, so it would be nice.

    There is a dwarf hero item that gives vangard. They should introduce that into MP if they haven't.

    They r just a hopeless abysmal unit. Seriously 20 att 18 def 22 str lol.... really shouldnt surprise anyone of them being the worst chaff unit in game.

    You could lower their armour to 40 and increase stats. Not sure it is would help much.

    Alternatively, you can increase their stats and price, but, a cheap roadblock is better than a unit that will compete with Warriors GW.

    thats why turning them into shock infantry could be fun, you differentiate them from other GW choices.

    Dwarfs aren't supposed to have "cheap roadblock". That's the main issue. Especially when the said unit costed more than Dwarf Warriors in source material.

    Also dwarf armies that utilise the most viable tactic of "going wide" frequently outnumber the opposing Greenskins and Skaven army which is another hilarious sight bolstered by cheap units such as these.

    been said several times, but they should cost more and be instantly deployable in battle. So you somewhat keep the same level of battlefield control, but with fast deployment instead of numbers.
