I know that total war troy hasn't been released yet, but I have a concern that my laptop will have a lag and stuttering while playing the campaign of total war itself since I will have it in my new laptop
My Laptop :
Lenovo Ideapad C340 core i7 10th Gen
with Nvidia GeForce MX230
with SSD space 1 TB (which should be more than enough)
What I heard from other people is that my laptop is primarily used for drawing and editing rather than playing, so could you guys give suggestions and tips on how to make my total war game not lagging and stuttering a lot while in the campaign? Because I tried other games like Killing Floor 2, PUBG Lite, Albion Online, and Crusader Kings 2. And those games starting to lagging and stuttering after I played for a while, which those same games didn't lag or stutter for a while when I played them for the first time. I tried to reduce the graphics, set my graphics into more focus in performances rather than quality but it seems didn't work for some games like Killing Floor 2 and PUBG Lite, so I am kinda afraid that my laptop cannot handle big games with big graphics like Total War Troy.

lower settings, quit all background stuff like browsers, skype..running programs, unnistal all crap stuff like Lenovo/Asus/whatever brand you have utility software(s)..
Use CCleaner or some somilar program to get rid of old registry entries, unused bits. Possible reinstall system if your installation is 2+ years old...

"Graphics Settings: Low
GPU PERFORMANCE: In summary, you should avoid trying to play Total War: Three Kingdoms with the GeForce GT 230
SYSTEM SUMMARY: This system may have troubles with Total War: Three Kingdoms. But with some clever adjustments you may be able to run it."

0 · Disagree AgreeThe Total War series has by default in the graphic option menu the "recommended" icon that automatically adjusts according to the computer. Otherwise two options are to be known; reduce antialasing and unit size to a minimum. Otherwise Nvidia automatically sets up with Geforce Experience, but not all games are a part of it; It depends on their success; for example Thrones of Britannia has never featured in Geforce Experience (unless I'm mistaken). Good luck and good game.
