Total War Troy crash ingame battle

I installed total war troy from epic games and everything seems fine campaign map no problem but when i launch a battle after 2 mins it just quits no error nothing pops up just the game quits i play with more of the settings on ultra some high i get decent fps 45 my pc is up to date windows updates all installed windows 10 pro version 2004 my graphic card updated visual c++ from 2008-2019 all installed i still don't get it whats the problem can you help me please.

lower your tree settings to low and it will run

it's not crashing now but the trees look like **** any other way to fix it with the trees at ultra and why is this happening

I Just wanted to say that i had the exactly same problem with crashs and lowering the trees settings solved my issue.

Lowering tree settings to low does not fix this crash for me. Did CA ever come up with a fix for this? I'm dozens of hours into a campaign and the game is now completely unplayable because I can't get through a battle. For me at least the crash seems tied to the amount of units in the battle. I've only had the problem on sieges with reinforcements.

Same here. Hours into this game to just to find out these battles don't really work.
