I cant play multiplayer in Napoleon

Hi .. I downloaded a mod to try it but then as I didn't know how to uninstall it I deleted files from inside the game folder and then I tried to play multiplayer with a friend and I couldn't because he told me that he had a different version of the game when I had the vanila without mods or anything I've already tried to uninstall and install it and verify the integrity of the files and nothing
