Help with moving characters to factions

Hi everyone, completely new to the modding world and I was hoping to get some help making a mod that would involve moving characters to specific factions. In particular, I'd like to move Ma Chao and Huang Zhong to Liu Bei at a certain point in the game.

I'd also like to ask if it's possible to spawn certain ancillaries for factions as well but this is less of a concern.
