I wanted to thank CA for the fantastic job they have done with this new DLC, one of my favorites or my favorite without a doubt
The mechanics of the flesh lab are very fun and very interesting
Ghortich's design is just great and spectacular, I can't wait to see stormfiends in the game alongside the great gray seer Thanquol! :o
The rework of WE is very good and was necessary, the sisters' design and shooting modes are amazing too.

The problem is that we have the pandemic and the launch of the DLC takes too log. But everyone's health is the most important

Thanks CA for this fantastic DLC and for the great job you do with the game!

No thanks from me. The Glorified Invocation of Vaul is a pus ridden filth that should be completely overhauled. Other than that I think that Ceithin-Har should get his Spites decorations, they made his TT model truly unique.

Only thing which let me down this DLC was the lack of new lores of magic for them. They should at least get Light and Death casters for the Singers and Weavers.

That and the fact that I was expecting them to go over ammo types for the wood elves and include more variants like Glade Riders with Starfire Shafts or maybe even a new ammo type all together. Splitting the AP from the fire damage of Starfire Shafts and making 2 new ammo types.
Request scorched body textures, and fire death effects. At least 30% of all damage in this game comes from fire sources. Request Fire for the Fire God DLC.

I loved the sisters campaign too! Working through Throt campaign now. Flesh lab is very cool. Was a great DLC and keeps WH2 as my most played game on steam!

Second this. The new Wood Elves are probably one of my favorite campaigns now. I played through part of a Sisters campaign and then started wondering what it would be like to start in Athel Loren, so I switched to Orion. Ive been having an absolute blast.

    Well done.

The WE rework alone made this worthwile. They became on of my favorite factions in an instant, especially as they are one of the best sandbox factions of all, and have a very streamlined victory in ME.

I played the sisters in vortex too and they were also great and brought long needed diversity to empty naggaroth. The new units are also worth in my opinion. I would still have liked to see a new forest spirit e.g., but still it was one of the best campaigns I've played. I really appreciate the final battle with its unique conditions.
But truth be told the forge of daith did not offer much. Indeed I almost forgot its existence as it is very irrelevant.

I say it is a good dlc and a great rework. Well done.

Well as we say in French "Sometimes, the better is the ennemy of the good" (it sounds better than in English, I promise).

Lord Packs quality for TWWH2 has greatly increased. WatP is probably the best DLC they released to date, but I feel the Wood Elves rework is better than the Greenskins one. I mean, the magical forest implementation is exactly what a lot of WE fans advocated and hoped for years, and it's in the game! A Wood Elves campaign look nothing like any other campaign.
FLC wise, Drycha and Imrik are both great in what they do. Could be better? Sure, but it's already great.

Also, this leaves the (small) possibility of a second WE LP in the future:
LL: Araloth (last 8th edition named character)
LH: Naieth (they worked together in the End Times right?)
    Generic Hero: Shadowdancer
    Units:
Spites (same role as Drycha's living bats)
    Meadow Charriot
    Melee Warhawk
    Treeman (Blackbriar Javelin)

I played it for four days. Not intense playing either mind you. At least not by my standards. Finished the Vortex with both the Sisters and Throt. Did 100 turns or so with Drycha in Mortal Empires. That is not to say that I don't like it. The Welf update was great and there were elements of the DLC and FLC Welf bits that I liked. Throt was also alrite but I'm not as impressed by these Skaven mechanics as everyone else is. I do like the Welfs and have always enjoyed playing with them but at this point, 3350 hours spent in both games playing all races it is perhaps not surprising that a bit of jadedness has set in and in a more deeprooted way than it has before.

However the game has reached such a level of general staleness that the DLC, FLC and rework didn't allieviate for me. I haven't been super into TWW2 for the last 6 months if I am being generous and the last 10 if I'm being more realistic. So today I did what was previously unthinkable and uninstalled TWW2 from my SSD because I wouldn't have had room to install Cyberpunk 2077 on it otherwise. And I'm not even really that into Cyberpunk 2077.

I'll undoubtedly be back at some point. Maybe even before the next DLC but this Lord Pack marks the first time I am taking a conscious time out from the Total War Warhammer series.

    I think it's a great update.

Wood Elves have a vastly improved experience. The new LLs are unique, and bring something different. The map updates are fantastic, and the mechanics of the forest and the forge play out fine.

The Skaven side got a few new units that are interesting additions to the roster and a button clicking simulation that is appealing to people who like it.

Taken as a whole, it's a huge success.

I really doubt we'll see spite units, should wood elves get another LP.
Instead, with Araloth, I could imagine CA implementing Eternal Wardens, more elite version of Eternal Guard like bladesingers are to wardancers, just so that they have some higher tier elven unit with shield to stand guard for their archers. Tree kin are large units so they block more line of sight, and shield would allow the eternal warden to survive ranged attacks a bit more.

But on the topic of this thread, yes, thanks CA for this DLC. It's not perfect, but I'm having fun with it.

My Prince is the best, that much is true, but his TW:WH execution is not something that I would call 'great'.

    1. Minaithnir is mute and has no special combat features, not even a different breath
    2. Imrik has no animations on Minaithnir, just sits there like a doll
    3. Unlockable dragons aren't even recolours

I love the new DLC, the Flesh Lab and making the stupid Dwarf/Empire Ordertide to suffer. Highly entertaining.
