I just bought TW:II and installed all the free DLC, but I cannot play as dwarves (I currently do not own TW:1)

Am I missing something (I have no mods installed)

You need Warhammer 1 to play as dwaefs as well!

The Dwarfs are from game 1 so you need Game 1 like a addon to have them playable in the Warhammer 2 ME map.

As others have said, you need to own game 1 to unlock its races for Mortal Empires. You do not, however, have to install game 1 to play the races in Mortal Empires, it just needs to be in your Steam library. Only Warhammer 2 needs to actually be installed for the full ME experience.

You won't be able to play the standalone WH1 canpaign if you don't install game 1, of course. But why would you want to? 🤷‍♂️🤪

Game 1 is essentially a large Race Pack DLC for game 2 at this point.

You don't need to install game 1 to get the races, though, you only need to OWN it.

You also need all the DLC races from game 1 as well if you want to play as them.
