NTW Multiplayer Campaign Savegame bug

Hello,
My friend and I are having an issue with loading saved multiplayer campaigns for Napoleon Total War. Whenever one of us tries to host a savegame campaign, the other player is booted out of the start-up screen and taken back to the multiplayer campaign server list. However, the game works fine if we try to run a fresh new campaign together.
The bug seems very similar to what happened with one of the Warhammer games (link below).
I contacted SEGA and they told me to post the issue here.
Hopefully it can be fixed!
