Question concerning High Elves skill tree

Just started playing High Elves for the first time in a while and was wondering if when you had the option to select the skill "Dedicated to Isha" does it apply those benefits to the Silverin Guard as description is spearmen. The Silverin Guard are a spearmen unit however there is also a unit simply called spearmen so I thought it may not apply.



Does anyone know for sure if it applies the leadership buff and upkeep reduction to Silverin Guard?

No. SG are a standalone unit and not tied to normal spearman at all.

On all those options of the elven gods there is no other option for them and they updated it for the other Chrace units and added the ranger units to that one.

That may be true, but that's not how those effects work.

From poking around in the files, Eltharion's lord effects work for them, but otherwise if it doesn't mention SG specifically, it doesn't effect them.

Silverin guard seem to be forgotten by CA, there's no tech or ressource to improve their recruiting rank, while every other unit in the roster benefits from both.

Which is funny since you get it at level 10 when you don't even need it anymore.

These Dedications need a re-think from CA. The low level ones are gained too late, and the high level unit buffs are way too minor to even bother picking up. Why would I care for +5 Leadership on Phoenix Guard when they're basically unbreakable anyway? I'd rather take a Charge Bonus.

Neither the SG nor the SoA have a proper god that "helps" them... Why? No idea...

The big problem is that the dedications to Vaul and Mathlann are no brainers since they improve the economy and give the best bonuses to the lords: melee defense and armour.

Shadow warriors don't get any god love either. It would be nice if a dedication to Loec was added.
