... I still can't believe CA really did it. They ARE going to realize my long-time dream and do the:
ENTIRE. WARHAMMER. WORLD.
Not stopping at Mountains of Mourn. Not stopping at Chaos Wastes. Not excluding minor factions. Not ignoring fluff footnotes because "GW didn't do them". It's literally all the wet dreams coming into their Slaaneshi fruition... No strings attached.
Yes, I've been expecting Kislev so it didn't really surprise me at all, even the top-notch models and hussars, I know CA can deliver.
BUT that expanded map = Cathay tease at the end caught me totally unawares. I've never really believed they are going to include them as a core. Hoped, yes, but mostly for a race-pack way into the lifecycle of game 3. Monogods are also pleasant surprise for aesthetic reasons, although I would prefer them separated into DoC and WoC.
I just do not know if I should love it or hate it...
Why now CA, why?
It's exactly the time when I finally got bored with TWW2 - I didn't even play last DLC. I'm on the cusp of starting my own family, working much longer than I dare to admit... I have no time for this! NO TIME!
Yet they did it, they woke the daemon inside me again... and IT STIRS.

Probably going to leave Araby untouched and Antartica too.

0 · Disagree AgreeI hope too, but we won't be sure until we actually see the map, in like a year from now.

The eaves will sing no more;
The waxen ground will keep you bound,
Death-pale until the thaw.
Then she placed the rest of Orion's ashes into the bowl and turned to face the Oak of Ages.

1 · Disagree AgreeNah, it's happening. Perhaps with shrunk Khuresh and Ind [a'la Estalia], but it is coming. And I still can't truly believe it.

3 · Disagree AgreeWho knows what GW thought about and put in paper but didn't follow through because it wouldn't sell in a tabletop game?

4 · Disagree AgreeI haven't really been getting bored with TWW2 - I've been pacing myself out and still have a lot I want to do with the Vortex, in fact - but there certainly has been a strong degree of disappointment towards policies demonstrated in the later DLCs. To the point where, when it was looking like TWW3 was going to be monogods and nothing else for core, I was getting ready to not bother with TWW3, at least not until it had some steep discounts.
Going into the Far East and possibly going for the entire Warhammer globe, though? That's something worth investing in.

2 · Disagree AgreeSecondly, Cathay as an only nation in the East will make it a snoozefest to play - there will be more stuff in that part of the map, I'm sure of it.
Last but not least, the inclusion of Cathay means we are going to have a map that at the bare minimum stretches from Western Naggaroth to the Eastern Coast of the Old World. That's already at least 90% of the entire Warhammer world. Even if in the end they don't churn out Nippon and/or Khuresh, that's already way more than I expected before the announcement.
We, Warhammer fans, win. My work and my family though...
