One distinction between Cathay and Ind is that Cathay was at least somewhat developed before WFB died, even if it was never playable. While for Ind, pretty much all we know is tigermen and a couple of magic items coming from there.
Doesn't mean GW can't flesh it out, though.
On the naga sub-discussion - if I recall my Indian mythology correctly, there are some naga who are good, and some who are evil. In Warhammer terms, this could be represented by the good nagas being friendly to and part of the Indish roster, while the Khureshi naga are evil naga that were outcast to Khuresh.
Brahma Astra or Astra(missile) of brahma which is like a Nuke. Indrastra = It would bring about a 'shower' of arrows, like rain, from the sky. Praswapastra = This weapon would cause the afflicted to fall asleep on the battlefield. Agneyastra = The weapon discharged would emit flames inextinguishable through normal means. Varunastra = The weapon discharged would release torrential volumes of water. Nagastra = The weapon would have an unerring aim and take on the form of a snake, proving deadly poison upon impact. Suryastra = Creates a dazzling light that would dispel any darkness about and dry up water bodies. Vajra = Target would be struck with bolts of lightning Mohini Astra = dispelled all illusion. Twashtar Astra = When used against a group of opponents (such as an army), would cause them to mistake each other for enemies and fight each other. Parvatastra = cause a mountain to fall on the target from the skies. Narayanastra = Would create showers of arrows and discs. The astra's power would increase with the resistance offered to it. Vaishnava and pashupata astra are again nuke like.

Yes absolutely right, a bunch of them are evil but there are some who got Enlightened and became divine towers like Ananta and Vasuki.
Yakshi is female earth spirits which is considered as a symbol of fertility by the Hindu, Jain and the Buddhist faith and are portrayed as wide-hipped voluptuous women with narrow waists, broad shoulders who caused a tree to bear fruit by simply touching it with her foot.
What about those Shiva statues from Tomb Raider? I used to die to these constantly as a kid. Two types, the big ornate one giant sized. And the smaller stone constructs similar to Ushabti?
MarcusLivius: You are indeed a lord of entitlement.
Gandharvas are male nature spirits Some are part animal, usually a bird or horse. They have superb musical skills. They guard the Soma and play beautiful music for the gods in their palaces. Gandharvas are frequently depicted as singers in the court of the gods.

They migh have something like that in the lore already. The image on Brahmir.
Brahmir Statue - a wooden effigy of Brahmir, one of the thousand gods worshipped there by man and man-kin alike. For reasons unknown, the four-armed thing holds a particular horror for the worshippers of the Dark Gods.
An animated giant versions made of Indan Blood Steel would be cool.
1234 I declare a thumb war! 5678 I use this hand to mass-debate!
apsara are beautiful, supernatural female beings. They are youthful and elegant, and superb in the art of dancing. Apsaras are said to be able to change their shape at will and rule over the fortunes of gaming and gambling

I think just like Brahma is made in to Brahmir, Siva may also have slightly different name if implemented.
Kingdoms of Ind and Nippon make sense map wise now. Ogre kingdoms and Chaos dwarves are probably the most populair. DoW will come after Ogres since they have Ogres in their roster. Albion, Amazons and Halflings will be part of DoW if u ask me so that is a very big deal for a lot of people. Araby could still be possible since they are making new maps. Hobgoblins, Hung, Kurgan are more expansions like the Savage Orcs of the Greenskins. Nagash can have a mostly unique roster with some vampire and tk additions. Lahmian ( Neferata ) will be part of Nagash i think. Naga might even be a thing.
