misunderstanding the changing of Start position

Hi all, thanks for your time.

This is the first time I've tried to mod Total War, so assume I know nothing... So I tried following the guide of Toaru seen here:

And it seems to go well except the start position doesn't actually change...

Im trying to change start position of Liu Bei to be in the west. Added screenshot of the start_pos_characters table i edited. Don't know where x250 y250 is, but its just for testing.




Or more ideally, a script that would teleport Liu Bei's army to a Shu-region at a certain turn, but I guess this is much more advanced..

A detailed answer to this would be a huge help to me as well. I might be having a different issue, but I am essentially trying to do the same thing.

I was reading in old post about having to edit ceo tables, but they did not mention which ones.
