I voted Dungeons and Dragons because I want to see a TW game that allows us to really have a lot of choice in just how we play the campaign.
I think the historical equivalent would be an "Age of Empires" type of TW game where you build up your civilization over the ages.
But I would love to see a D&D TW have all manner of mechanics to where you could really forge your own story as it were.
You want to be a good Lich who protects the lands with armies of undead of slain invaders, you should be able to.
You want to turn an otherwise good order of knights or something evil, you should be able to.
And that's not even mentioning the possibilities for such a game's multiplayer.
I would love to see such a TW game's multiplayer allow us to create our own fantasy armies from the ground up.
And while this might sound odd, I would hope that they would somewhat limit just what you could create, as far as certain races and units.
Like you could make due with Trolls and smarter Ogres as monstrous infantry options, and maybe just dragons as the big single entity monsters.
I just think that being able to create things like undead and such might lead to a little too much cheesy nonsense when it comes to the balance of the game.

You can already kinda be a good necromancer or evil knightly order in Warhammer since the Total War games are sandbox. I know it's not easy, but you more or less should be able to do so in any Fantasy Total War game.
As for custom armies, are you sure CA's up to it? I think it would be hard for a Total War kind of game.
D&D would be cool, but I don't think it's suited for a Total War type of game. Total War is about clashing armies and empire management. D&D is about skirmishes between small bands of custom heroes.

I know you can kind try to do stuff like that in Warhammer, but it's not quite the same since everyone pretty much all hates each other in Warhammer.
What I'm talking about is applying some things from D&D to a TW game so that you could have real control over what you and your factions does instead of just being on a more linier path.
And I think CA could do a multiplayer like that. Maybe they could pull, I can't believe I'm saying this, a CoD and separate the single and multiplayers from each other so that they can work on both to kinda make them their own things.
Because it might actually be easier than we think, because with a few things from other TW games, especially Troy's whole weight class mechanic, they could potentially organize it more easily.
What I mean is that you could have it be kind of in this order of how you could possibly make your units.
Race Tier Weight Class Armor & Weapons And anything else.
But to explain that, I might need to make another comment.
I think that the best way for this to all go down would be for CA to first make a "Age of Empires" historical TW game where you could develop your factions pretty much however you want, from the Iron Age to the 1700s or so.
But I think that such a TW game could be where they first try out the whole custom armies thing for the multiplayer.
But what I think they could make the way fairly simple.
They could have the custom units all start off as just generic spearmen or something like that, and the players could turn them into different things from there.
Unit Tiers I think that first you'd pick the Unit Tiers, which would be Levy, Irregular, Professional, and Elite.
To put them into context, the unit tiers would be sort of like this
Levy: Vigiles or Levy Freemen Irregular: Hastati or Celtic Warriors Professional: Legionary Cohort or Chosen Swordsmen Elite: Evocati Cohort or Oathsworn.
I would think that the unit tiers would also effect the different types of weapons the unit would have access to, with levy units not really have all that much in the way of weapon selection, while elite units have the best types of weapons available to them.
Weight Class The weight class should be pretty simple, with it being Light, Medium, and Heavy units.
But the weight class should also effect just what sorts of armor the unit can equip.
That way you wouldn't be restricted to just having any one weight class of units being absolutely more powerful than any other.
And I just think that things like the aesthetics of the unit would come after the actual creation of the unit itself.
Though I would like to see CA make the unit clone soldiers, in the sense that all the units of a certain type look the same.
Like if you create X unit, all the guys within that unit will look the same.
Also, if anyone has a Reddit account, please post the poll on Reddit as well, because if it remains only here, it is doomed to have less than 50 votes.
Been a fan of the series since Morrowind and I think Tamriel could work very well for a Total War game. Imagine the faction selection screen like in Rome2, just replace Cultures with the 9 Provinces, 9 provinces is also a rather manageable number in terms of balancing and power creep compared to WH, and factions could be, for Morrowind for example: House Hlaalu, House Redoran, House Telvani, House Dres, House Indoril, House Dagoth, Ashlanders
Probably not so many but basically, yeah.
I know there is mod for Med2 but I cannot stand the base game anymore.
I've been to toy shop with my son today and saw a He-Man action figure.. and it strike me how cool that world would be as TW game. Colourful factions, amazing esthetics, 80s music. I would love that so much.
Masters of the Universe… never thought of it, but definitely rides the 80’s vibe that’s been going on. I would buy it for sure.
I personally would love to see GoT. Its a Romance (3k) version of Medieval. Loads of different factions, religions, even monsters, dragons and such (though less than WH).
Personally would love an American Civil War historical title first. Then MotU or GoT. Would be awesome…
What about folklore medieval game with fey and mithos in it would be cool I also like these ideas as Total war Africa Total war fanch civil war Star wars total war Alien total war Dr who and the darlics maybe These are my ideas I think Africa should be just that in it that would be cool.
