Tzeentch. I like the aesthetic, and the followers are some of the most unique looking.
Very Lovecraftian look mixed with bird aesthetics.
And the ideology of constant schemes and Knowledge just is fun to me.

After having recently made a Tzeentch Core Roster list. . . I'm quite tempted to play with him first. He's definitely the most mysterious of the 4, even his units are somewhat "mysterious".

But Khorne has still a place in my heart.

Actually every God has such awesome cool looking Rosters and Lores. It will be a hard choice indeed.

I am not a fan of the chaos gods, the main four at least.

But I like Hashut the most, due to his aestethic and his connection to the chaos dwarfs. Also he represents greed and tyranny really well.

Same for the great horned rat. I appreciate this lil' fellow as well. He is the good equivalent of a bond villain with complicated plans for world domination, but his monions screw up constantly.

But the main four? Nope all of them are boring at best.

Khorne might be a little boring, but he is the most iconic chaos god and gets my vote.

    Aesthetic and unit-wise? Tzeentch.

    Lore and fluff-wise? Nurgle.

From each god's individual personality and persona I gravitate more towards Grandfather Nurgle. He at least cares about his followers and is very jolly; plus his romance with Isha is a story for the ages.

Tzeentch, on the other hand-tentcle, strikes me as a the type of person who, despite getting trounced and beaten in a fight is always going on about how "This is all according to my master plan" even while you are there punching him in the face and giving him a wedgie. It just makes stories involving him seem boring and dull because, of course, no matter what happens he is always the victor. Kinda like why Superman is the most boring superhero.

Tzeentch and Slaanesh especially are the most underdeveloped due to the more esoteric concepts theyre associated with.

There are few things AoS has done that I actually like, but differentiating Slaaneshi followers from the one flavor fits all depiction of chaos warriors of Khorne and Nurgle was a brilliant move and long over due. They need to develop this more and give Tzeentch a similar treatment.

Slaanesh. But honestly mostly because I liked my 40k noise marine army (I know, I know, not the same setting, different stories, still like the daemon models though).

Still waiting on the Nurgle avatar image. About time I tore apart this Vortex shell.
Furthermore, I consider that Daemon Prince must be removed.

Slaanesh, the idea of any strong emotion being gradually amplified and distorted until you become unrecognisable is really interesting (and I love N'Kari).

My second favourite is Nurgle, he seems nice and friendly.

Khorne is boring and Tzeentch is a bit vague and meh for my liking.

Hashut, if that counts. There is a complexity to Hashut as a deity that actually comes from his existence on the margins of the Chaos... pantheon I guess we could call it? In all likelihood, he is probably not a god at all, but his relationship with the Chaos Dwarfs is so interesting. He is the salvation of this stalwart race, but he corrupts them in the most malignant way. But there is a possibility he himself is this isolated and abandoned being just as the dwarfs he has saved (and corrupted.) There is a lot there, some very tragic elements that have the potential to give him some depth, depending on the narrative threads you choose to follow. That's super cool.

If Hashut isn't allowed, probably Khorne for the opposite reasons as Hashut. He is the cliched flavor of Warhammer Chaos at this point. His aesthetic is pretty much "Villain Version 1.0." But I find something fun in that. My wife says I have an irksome tendency to overthink things. I start asking the question "What does it mean to be evil?" and before I know it I have tumbled down this ponerological rabbit hole. Meanwhile Khorne is so in your face it is ridiculous, ignoring the case the whole "But he loves an honorable fight!" thing.

    Non really.

Only Nurgle, because of many unique, very cool models. But other then that, boring.

I was always sad we didn’t get more info about Hashut. Like the Horned Rat, I thought he had a lot of potential to add to his race and the setting.

I cannot understand how people look at Khorne as boring. Perhaps the concept does not appeal, that is fine, but 'boring' is just taking a purely superficial look at what is ultimately a god of obliteration, of death taken to its final conclusion, and the desire behind making that happen.

Just makes me sad to see it. :(

Great Horned Rat is from AoS, the "great" comes from the Horned Rat assuming Slaanesh's empty seat there, which elevates it to a major deity.
