Cant play co op with my friend keep saying "waiting for player" at the end of the first turn

So me and my friend trying to play three kingdom co op we play Cao Cao and Liu Bei and after each one of us finished the turn the AI is playing and it's getting stuck on one of the AI (different one for both of us)
it's saying waiting for player we tried switch hosts but same problem....
we bought the game for playing the co op and we cant solve that problem...any advice?

My friend and me are having the exact same probleme, each time we pass the first turn the camera lock and it said "waiting for player"
