Whelp beastmen have clearly been cancelled, it’s what they deserve anyways good riddance all they do is run up to my capital and raid until I finally just declare war on them and exterminate them anyways. (Also I wouldn’t read too much into it, I’m sure that stuff comes/goes/gets updated all the time.)

It's still in active development. Steamdb is a third party website looking at information that's available through steam. The DLC not being visible on Steamdb in no way suggests that these three DLC don't exist. Beyond that there are plenty of updates that aren't given a specific entry despite being added to the game.

Steamdb's DLC page effectively just shows what things CA is going to flog as a noteworthy update, whether those are paid products or individually advertised FLC's. CA may have removed them because the specifics of how the content is being divided is shifting, or for any number of other reasons.

Don't read into it too much.

Oh hey look... looks like my cautionary stance on not expecting an FLC was correct.

WH2 is cancelled like 3k. WH3 too probably.

The bitter truth that SEGA and CA have been hiding from us for quite some time is that the current FLC+DLC formula’s profitability is not enough to sustain the poor hard-working chaps at the top. They can’t afford their jet fuel with the less-than-expected recent DLC sales!

As a result, it’s an understandable and desirable move to scrap FLC policy altogether and stop the DLC after “The Silence and The Fury”. Moreover, Total War: Warhammer 3 has been cancelled, as a part of an overall effort to upgrade the engines and move on from the outdated Total War formula to the one based on the tastes of a wider fanbase.

As a consolation, new game will be revealed tonight in the video “The Future of Total War”-> TW: Warhammer mobile, with tried & trusted pay-to-win mechanic, a lot of custom skins and avatars and plethora of paid items. It will be released on all platforms at once, as no one except a few fossilized Westerners and geeks uses PCs for gaming anymore. They will still get a chance to savour the gameplay on their ancient and outdated machines though, as a part of all-inclusive policy.

Don’t forget that you can get free voicelines from the Rakarth FLC for a limited time on your TW: Access!

Either the SteamDB does and we're not or it doesn't and we are, but do not arbitrarily switch to whichever one is convenient.
When I warned of caution and that I hope I was wrong but we may not get an FLC, cus everything's been weird since this one took even longer than before and Rakarth dropped recently out of the blue completely at random without DLC escort, people told me "look the SteamDB says we will get FLC! Look! Look!" inc you.
And now that very same evidence is dismissed?

Nice double standard you got there.

I do not want to be right on these things for the record! I'm just applying the rules you guys set out and hemming in my expectations anyway.

CA was hacked and there will be nothing for Warhammer until they bring back 3K.

Damn you hackers! Isn't Cathay enough for you?

    Likely means nothing.

Probably something on Steam’s end that has nothing to do with CA.

You mean we shouldn't panic based on a 3rd party resource and not just waiting and seeing what we get? Nah that'd be out of character for the forums.

It’s not serious. Do I really have to explain that?

Look, it’s just three lines in steam database, which has been changed thousands of times in the past. It likely doesn’t mean anything.

It look like Valve gonna announce somethings about Steam in E3. It might be new systems or UI changing. It might be a cause of this.

Ah sorry then. Hard to tell these days if someone is joking or serious. Especially since the forum is extremely hostile towards CA recently.

Obviously it doesn’t mean anything. Probably just a problem with Steam or steamDB.

The silence of SteamDB dlc's, the fury of the beastmen not getting anything
  • Schub#9514Schub#9514 Registered Users Posts: 1,578
Interesting but still way to early to panic. First I thought they just removed them temporarly to add something without leaking another .jpg like with Skarbrand. But as we know now a lot of other games also removed their DLC entries.

    Look at Crusader Kings III

They literly just announced their next DLC a few weeks ago and if you bought the special edition of CK3 you already 'own' it so I guess everything is arlight :)

I’m no IT expert (actually I don’t know anything about it), so I’m wondering what could’ve caused that? Maybe a new Server or general update of Steam?

I am a developer but I never worked with steam so I can only guess: Maybe steam changed their 'DLC framework' and now you have to delete all DLC entries without a shop site and create new ones to have access to steams changes.

Change of steam structure vs steamdb, how steam is handling DLCs....or maybe visibility/privileges. It is possible those DLCs are now hidden from public by default...
