I don't know. It's hard for me to have sympathy here. All your interesting units that weren't just Jurassic Park or Saurus clones got nerfed over and over again until they were completely useless and redundant in campaign and none of you said anything about it.
LM have been boring to play since launch.
Now you're stuck with units with less damage output than blind goblins.
You had years to give your feedback on LM, but you didn't show there was need for a change, and didn't show good ideas. Three lordpacks in is two lordpacks too late.
Just saying "LM need a rework" gets you nowhere. What rework? What mechanics? What units? Changed to what? Buffed how? Altered how?
Even this post has no effort put into what the rework should be. It's just complaining that there isn't one. It's just asking for new units. Again. And you're surprised that's all you're getting?
I've been complaining about Lizardmen taking almost 2 years to get their first Lord pack, then proceed to complain about the contents in those and how they get shafted in each and every single one, with no updates to their mechanics. All I've received from other players is calling me entitled and I should wait until the DLC or another update is out before speaking whenever I brought up Lizardmen, look at where that got us. Now they say you got 3 LP and 7 LL, which apparently excuses the low quality LM have got Lizardmen have gotten. And I made a thread about how there is nothing for the Lizardmen in the upcoming update besides their DLC, which got the response that they'll get reworked in the future, at least 2-3 years down the line.
It's an uphill battle trying to get CA to realize that Lizardmen need help when the whole community is also dragging you down saying they don't. It's similar to the Dwarf rework before this announcement, because Dwarfs were clearly mechanically not engaging or fun, but they had received a small update so that made people try and silence people asking for an update, since their roster is fine.
I understand all that. But you're not going to win favour with the majority of the community by saying "LM always get the short end of the stick". Whilst there is truth to that, any fan of a game 1 race is immediately going to get their backs up and will be immediately irritated just at the thread title. It's true they didn't get Skryres workshop etc, but they have gotten 3 DLC lords and 2 FLC ones, more than any other race in the setting. Framing the conversation as "Lizardmen are hard done by" gets you nowhere, because they're not.
Talk about the mechanics on their own merits. When I was pushing for mechanical upgrades to Dwarfs I made sure the language remained as neutral as possible and tried to do very few "compared to x race". Because then people just dogpile you with "yeah but Norsca/Vampires/Beastmen". You need the entire community behind you to push for this kind of thing. Even if they're a fan of other races.
MarcusLivius: You are indeed a lord of entitlement.
There is a difference between complaining and a well thought out feedback thread on what you think needs to be changed about said mechanic.
Most are just lizard brain complaints.
I'm not the one you have to convince, go do a write up on soteks mechanics and how it could be better. Make it gain traction.
I fully agree LM need to be changed, I've thought they were the most boring race mechanically since WH:2 launched. But I certainly couldn't get any positive feedback on that cause dinos go brrr and nobody cared as long as they could watch monster mash.
lol that's the thing though right, there's no reason why it can't be BOTH complaining and feedback. I usually don't even like complaining usually, but it undeniably gets more urgent results.
That's like the thing that dwarf/beastmen fans were the masters of, complaining. lol
So far, the LM fanbase doesn't seem to know what they want. That's why I commented on this thread. The OP clearly wants a LM rework, but fell right back into "new dinos please". That effort could've been put into an expanded geomantic web or something.
It wasn't.
Imagine if LM get a 4th Lord Pack in Warhammer 3 without a rework. Will the OP complain about the lack of mechanics then too? He didn't ask for any. He asks for units, again.
I only did 1 complaint thread when scrap released, realised it would get me nowhere, and decided to push for a Dwarf rework.
To call me a complainer with the effort I put into my threads is childish. Right now, you're actually complaining. I'm trying to help you, up to you if you listen.
MarcusLivius: You are indeed a lord of entitlement.
Personally I don't think lizardmen need a rework, lizardmen already have cool mechanics they just need to be tweaked.
Tehenhauin simply needs his pyramid to give him access to exclusive units (perhaps access to Shotek spawns of different creatures) and Nakai needs his horde and vassal mechanics to work. As for Mazdamundi, Krok-gar, Gor-rok and Tiktakto, making the geomantic web more interactive and useful in the early stages of the game along with making the sacred spawns work as in TT should be enough.
And I didn't mention Oxyotl for the obvious, although his teleportation mechanics and being undetectable when moving around the map (you don't need to ask permission to cross someone else's territory) is quite interesting.
I'd agree with you but the Geomantic Web really needs to be on par with the Skaven campaign mechanics in terms of excitement.
I don't know. It's hard for me to have sympathy here. All your interesting units that weren't just Jurassic Park or Saurus clones got nerfed over and over again until they were completely useless and redundant in campaign and none of you said anything about it.
Like who exactly? Although I agree salamanders and specially razordons were disrespected. Cold/Horned Ones could also use a big flavour, never see people using them.

I don't know who this guy think he is but he litterally think he is the reason for the DW rework ... in what world are you living buddy ?
Soteks video is only a month old and he calls himself the Lizard fanboi.
Where was this video 2 years ago? He, like the vast majority of the LM fanbase didn't care as long as dinos were going smash and ignored the issues. He would even tell people to stop complaining and that "you haven't seen anything yet about the forge of daith" because he lets himself get overexcited and overhyped.
And no, I'm not "the" reason. But I am "a" reason.
I am one of the people who regularly talked about the LM not being touched literally since 2019, but between Nakai and The Silence & The Fury announcement everyone didn't give a damn about them.
I won't stop now, but almost 2 years of nothingness (not even TW Access) frustrated the hell out of us, we were just not ranting about it like the Dwarf and Vampire players.
I agree salamanders and specially razordons were disrespected.
Absolutely. Ancient Sallys were rather OP when P&W came out, but were subsequently nerfed into the ground. It's still possible to use them effectively (especially against the AI), but they are extremely niche. Overall, the lizard meta has settled to be weirdly close to what it was at launch of TWWHII, and it's getting dull now.
A decent rebalance and campaign mechanic rework would do wonders for the lizards - I'd much rather have that than a fourth(!) Lord Pack's worth of new units (although I'd certainly not complain about Tetto-Ekko's inclusion as an FLC lord).
I don't know. It's hard for me to have sympathy here. All your interesting units that weren't just Jurassic Park or Saurus clones got nerfed over and over again until they were completely useless and redundant in campaign and none of you said anything about it.

I didn't include unit stats because it's clear they balance with MP in mind, so no point in trying to make units like the ancient sally useful again.
It's not complaining. It's feedback and constructive criticism.
That's a good start. Now do a thread every month on each one of those topics.
You do realize that's insane right? The way CA communicastes with it's customer base is completely deranged, I've played other games with ongoing development and they all had a much more transparent way to receive feedback.
It also explains why this forum is so repetitive, with the same people posting daily requests for tomb kings confederation and the same legions of nagash post over and over. As I said, worst communication I've seen from any game company.
I only did 1 complaint thread when scrap released, realised it would get me nowhere, and decided to push for a Dwarf rework.

To call me a complainer with the effort I put into my threads is childish. Right now, you're actually complaining. I'm trying to help you, up to you if you listen.
Alright, alright, I was being a little harsh. But I did find it a bit antagonistic when NO fanbase is unified. The ones who want more units and LPs are always the most prominent. For instance Beastmen fans just got a rework and a DLC, already asking another DLC. Dwarf fans have always asked for one to two LPs. I've seen threads on that more than anything. Not that there aren't people who contribute with ideas for reworks of course, but those people are always in the minority, though it does help.
But so does general awareness, so I at least want to say that they do not need another dlc and instead a rework. I need some time to reflect and think on what they need for a rework, it still depends on the upcoming patch. But I do have some general ideas. There's also a number of users that throw out there ideas on what's wrong and what needs to be done. Such as Yukontherun who has consistently put out some pretty interesting ideas from what I recall.
I do disagree that acknowledging they need one gets you nowhere. Since I'd argue that's exactly why BM and Dwarfs got what they got was awareness. Some ideas and feedback helped I'm sure, but you need awareness to show that the demand is even there. Part of it I do think is to stop asking for another LP for them.
I can buy that they overlooked the LM as a whole for reworked mechanics, but again, just find it really weird for Tehen and Nakai given that people have criticized and have given suggestions for them ever since they came out. Think there's a difference between not getting a rework, but getting some changes at least. Which is more so what I expected.
But then there is just not getting a single update, which is just bizarre. They always, always have changed stuff for both sides of the dlc. Even Lizardmen the last two DLCs. Even if not the most, they still changed some things. Even back then when yes, there were less complaints for the general faction, the most prominent thing was rampage. But as a faction ages and as others get updated, there is going to be people who just realize the potential of a rework. Especially since reworks have gotten bigger over time.

The suggestions forum is a dead city, CA never engages with this forum. If you were right and people posting over and over offtopic comments about dwarfs (because those outnumber actual suggestions by several orders of magnitude), yes, that's insane.
Compare it with say Paradox, where the developers engage with the suggestion forum and you can see clearly when they've taken feedback on things fans may have a deeper interest like regional history in EU4 into the game, without any need for the fans to be spawning them over and over in the general section.

Relax bro this isn't a fight... We know exactly what we want.
1. First and foremost we need a Geomantic Web rework to be on par with the Skaven campaign. That should be top priority. We also gotta remember Geomantic Web has the capacity to instantly teleport folks between the cities that have strong web connection, much like the world roots mechanic from the Wood Elves. That's how they were able to defend Lustria from the first apocalypse.
2. After that we want Nakai's vassal to be fixed and able to manage themselves and defend itself so our beloved kroxigor won't have to babysit them. His horde mechanics also need a look.
3. The Cold One/Horned One riders, the Razordons, and the Salamanders need to be brought back to life, specially the riders.
4. We're still missing the Culchan Riders (skirmish cavalry which LM is lacking), Arcanodon, and the Thunder Lizard.

I won't stop now, but almost 2 years of nothingness (not even TW Access) frustrated the hell out of us, we were just not ranting about it like the Dwarf and Vampire players.

1 · Disagree 1AgreeA decent rebalance and campaign mechanic rework would do wonders for the lizards - I'd much rather have that than a fourth(!) Lord Pack's worth of new units (although I'd certainly not complain about Tetto-Ekko's inclusion as an FLC lord).

1 · Disagree 1AgreeIt also explains why this forum is so repetitive, with the same people posting daily requests for tomb kings confederation and the same legions of nagash post over and over. As I said, worst communication I've seen from any game company.

1 · Disagree 1AgreeBut so does general awareness, so I at least want to say that they do not need another dlc and instead a rework.

0 · Disagree AgreeCompare it with say Paradox, where the developers engage with the suggestion forum and you can see clearly when they've taken feedback on things fans may have a deeper interest like regional history in EU4 into the game, without any need for the fans to be spawning them over and over in the general section.

1 · Disagree 1Agree1.
5. Tehenhauin needs his exclusive units.
