Tormentor sword bug.

I was playing a Morathi campaign today and I won a battle against Mazdamundi. I managed to get a tormentor sword to drop before that battle but when I used it to hold Mazdamundi in place so I could run him down he suddenly started attacking Morathi again as if he wasn't broken (this was after army losses had kicked in.)
He continued running away as normal when the duration ran out. Not a big deal in this case because Mazdamundi isn't exactly known for his melee capabilities, but I'm not sure if this has consequences in MP or in some niche situations.
