Only a few more days lads and lasses until we will see Grand Cathay in all its celestial Glory.

Let’s kill some time and create our own trailers for Cathay to get the hype train rollin again.

I’ll start:



*Chinese themed Fantasy Music playing in the back*

„Ahh Grand Cathay. The celestial Empire.

Camera follows a huge serpent celestial Dragon flying over the beautiful Cathayan Landscape.


*Cathayan narrator*
„The peak of Humankind.“

Camera still follows a celestial Dragon flying over a majestic Cathayan Metropolis.


*Cathayan narrator*
„A land of Harmony, wisdom and peace.“

Camera still follows the celestial Dragon (Fire) flying over Mountains (Earth), Forests (Wood), Rivers (Water) and a huge marching Army (Steel).


*Cathayan narrator*
„But there is something scheming in the cold far north.“

Very very Quick camera shot on a Lord of Change.

„Protected by the Great Bastion“

Panorama view over the mighty Great Bastion in all it’s glory.

„We are the eternal sentinel of the East“

Camera focus on a deactivated/inactive battalion of Terracotta Automatons standing guard in front of the great Bastion, with dozens of Smaragd banners in the background.

„For centuries we pushed back the forces of Chaos, to keep our homeland save“

Tracking shot along the Wall of the great Bastion manned by thousands of brave Cathayan bannermen.


*Cathayan Narrator*
„But the Darkness never sleeps nor does it rest“

Quick shot at a daemonic Tzeentchian Horde Running towards the camera.


*Cathayan Narrator*
„So we are always prepared for War“

Battalion of Terracotta automatons activates and mechanically gets into a defensive phalanx formation with a Smaragd glow in their eyes.


*music intensifies*


*Cathayan Narrator*
„Fight for your Dragon Emperor! Fight for Grand Cathay!“

Battle view.
Millions of Tzeentchian Daemons charging into countless battalions of Terracotta Automatons.
Riffles, Crossobows and Canons firing from the walls.
Screamers flying towards the Great Bastion.
Monkey-Warriors rope down the Wall to attack the Daemons. (Big over the top Great Wall reference here)


*music intensifies even more*


Camera Shot of the Celestial Dragon from the beginning landing in the Middle of the Tzeentchian Horde.


*Dramatic chinese war drums*


Close Camera focus on the eyes of the Dragon which start to look more human than serpent.


Screen turns black.

I kinda like a opposite approach with chaos corruption narrative by cathay, that we see a high noble get corrupted by tzeentch.

And talk about how all they fools and they is no winning against chaos

Kinda (turn to chaos because abbadon)

Turn to chaos because he believe is the best option.

and gaining more power.

The Dragon Emperor shuffling around

A bunch of Chine...Cathayan soldiers in the background acting as props.
A super lit Dragon enters the frame.
He starts shuffling too.

A marketing degree flies with this Newspaper effect from Windows Movie Maker into the frame.

20 seconds into the trailer - everything cuts to black.
Skaven appear
It was a trick.
No Cathay. But another Skaven DLC.
Skaven are the Pre Order Faction. Skaven are Cathay. Skaven are Warhammer.

I expect Cathay vs Tzeentch and at the very end of the trailer there will probably be an Ogre who shows up on a cliff overseeing the battlefield and smiles.
