cant join or host game

I just got my game and was trying to play coop with my friend,but for some reason multiplayer list was empty,and when i tried to host my own game there were an error.
Also in menu in the top right corner (under game version) is inscription that saying game is modded but i didnt install any mods.
Singleplayer is working fine
Anyone know how to fix this ?

i have the same problem, can you help me if you found a solution? or if anyone knows please help

For me the fix was to give steam a new installation folder.

I renamed the old folder
Created a new folder
Linked the steam download direction with the new folder
Tranfered all the games from the old into the new folder
Let steam reinstall the games in the new folder (only checks the data, shouldn't really download anything)

Alternatively it worked when i had the game on a different hard drive, because - again - it was a different download direction folder.
