Hello,
So my idea is pretty simple. If, during a battle, you feel your lord(Or hero) is at a severe disadvantage being mounted- In the sky vs a flying goon squad, only one left vs a group of halberds, etc- they should be able to permanently ditch their mount. Hop off and send it running off the battlefield for its own safety.
Its a realistic tactical element, should not apply to units that their entire functionality is being mounted (I.e. anything that isnt a lord or hero or comes in a mount-only flavor like tiqtaqto.who I assume has a disability and needs a raptor to get around) and is trading a value loss for a tactical gain- you still paid for that mount and the extra HP that came with it, and now you're going to have your HP proportionally scaled down and lose whatever battle advantages that particular mount gave you.
Something to consider, is all. Yes it makes counter-picking slightly weaker but it also makes being counter-picked slightly less unwinnable.
Feedback would be interesting and im assuming overwhelmingly negative, but I'd like to hear it anyway.
Edit: Included heroes and exceptions

1 · Disagree 1AgreeHowever most of the TWWH crowd cares little for past precedent, and to be fair its pretty mutual- single entities have never dominated the battlefield like this in any other game. So while its easily applicable it does have to pass a test of "does this fit here." Warhammer is infamously rule of cool trumps logic, after all.
Edit: Dismount during battle clarification.

2 · Disagree 2AgreeBut I also can live without it. More important for me are Siege, map and diplomacy rework. If this is done well then they could do a mount dismount option.

1 · Disagree 1Agree- Allow a lord/hero to be on foot, or select from the mount he can have
- Cavalry: mounted / dismounted (would require making two "versions" of the unit, same as for agent)
- For weapon variant, instead of having two recruitable units, make 1, but allow selecting during battle setup if you want to use the sword/shield or great weapon variants.
- Same for ammunition : Bretonnian peasants could chose normal, fire or pox arrows.
Once chosen during battle setup, you can't change again before end of the battle.
This could remove some clutter in the recruit pannel.

1 · Disagree 1AgreeAlso yes, there are foot versions of the Reiksguard and many more Knight Chapters in the Empire. The Reiksguard even come with Sword/Shield combos, Greatswords and Halberds. And yes, people did too kitbash them.
This would be extremely useful in sieges if you'd want to send your troops on the walls.

0 · Disagree AgreeThe point would be to be able to give active mitigation to a bad draw in army selection for MP and mid to late battle for any combat scenario. The suggestion is also actively limited in scope to reduce the workload needed. Would be absolutely fine with them leaving it as a jank animation where it just dumps your lord on foot and has your mount run off without a dismounting animation as gameplay>graphics any day.
