They are already offering the pre-order bonus to buyers up to one week after game release which is quite generous if you ask me, if you are not sold on the game at that point then I really don't know what to say, I guess wait it out.
Part of their marketing strategy is "if you buy 3 games, you'll get a combined map", but they don't give details about it. That's not completly fair. pre order is different, we know 3 months before release what it is.
I won't deny, I will probably buy TWW3 with only the base map in consideration. However I find it inappropriate we're not going to get ANY info on the hugely anticipated final campaign map. Can we really not even have it revealed pre-release? Really? Honestly it feels a little shady and they're attempting to avoid disappointment or something.
I'd like to be proven wrong and they just reveal at least the outline of what they're going with.
I mean, just don't buy TWWH3 if you're only buying it for the combined map and that one ends up not meeting your expectations. You don't have to get it on launch.
Or am I a silly sausage with this line of reasoning?
Pre-sales and all marketing content is designed to create a sense of urgency. And make the buyer think and reflect less about the product in question.
If you are thinking about the product and wondering whether or not it is worth depending on the combined map, which in this case is one of the central points of this product, launching and pre-ordering are not for you.
CA wants you to just buy and stop thinking so much, customers who think a lot are not as good customers as those who buy on impulse and regret it later and preferably who regret it after it is no longer legally possible to return.

This is accurate, even though I forsee myself buying it shortly after release based on what I'm seeing so far, I cannot disagree with this sentiment. The best way to combat this culture is to stop pre-ordering or buying immediately on launch if you have reason to believe you will not be satisfied in the long run with the product.

Lets make a scenario here: CA announces before launch there are some technical problems akin to Norsca with ME1 and ME2's launch is delayed for 2 years. It causes a huge uproar and tons of people suddenly are considering not buying TWW3. Clearly this means people were *actually* anticipating TWW3 for the combined map, and not the base game map.
I'm confident this is at least somewhat the case, and people are more imagining playing ogres on the combined map than the base map. Therefore the early adopter bonus is highly relevant to people. Does that mean TWW3 isn't worth $60 to alot of people regardless of the campaign map? There are those that would still buy it, I'm probably included. Regardless, it's not at all hard to imagine I'm right it's very relevant to a huge population of TWW players. I think they should make their voices heard.
I would be less insistent on making this point if CA wasn't using the *ME2* build to show marketing for the TWW3 base game. They're pretty comfortable with it afaict and showing an outline of it is not much to ask for, and what I think is the biggest concern of it.

Because all of their released content is being held hostage by their marketing department. Which has shown itself a bit incapable. These unit highlights, for example, are super irrelevant and don't really generate hype, just confusion. Why do we not get a little blurb from the animations devs telling about how a unit was created?

I'll tell you something that confuzzled me.
We all saw the new unit spotlights for TWW3's Kislev and Khorne and thought "Oh. I preferred the old ones with the lore blurbs and artwork".
Then the "Hunter and the Beast" was announced during that for TWW2...and it had those old lore blurbs and artwork that we liked.
Ideally I would like to see it- but it’s flc. Why the need to show something they are giving out for free?
Odds are it’s not the whole warhammer map and will have parts cut off- why risk getting hit with negative feedback against the game because of a free dlc that won’t even be at release? CA should focus on the paid content that’s coming for release regardless of individuals own driving points for purchasing the game- especially if their driving point is flc.

I don't really consider something that requires buying three games to access as FLC, it was announced before even TWW1 was released.
It's probably the most anticipated aspect of how people will be viewing what TWW3's content and playground will be far after TWW3 is released. It's far more relevant than the TWW3 base campaign even I would say.

As it looks now there is no way im getting wh3 period.
But when ME releases for gsme 3 i will take another look.
It needs to be pointed out that what people call "cheese" is just playing the game the way it actually exists not in some fictional way they think it is supposed to work.

I’ll fix it- *Free with purchase. Though, I still disagree. If the base game is crap then it doesn’t really matter what the form the combined map will take.
It’s going to be big. Very big- and will be some version of all three games stitched together, that’s as much useful information for content that won’t be at launch. I say “useful” because of all the behind scene technicalities and limitations (imo) our outsider feedback is blind to and our feedback based off an image or video is worth as much as Greasus idle animation (*the action not the cost and labor put into it).

Personally, "included with purchase of all 3 games" is the most accurate way.
The combined map will still be the most relevant, and 8-10 months from now people will be filtering how if/when CA fixes TWW3 on how they integrate it into the combined map, not the base one.

Regardless of all this, which can definitely be true, them showing what they have of it (as an outline) or something is what I think most people are asking for.

My viewpoint is this: If TWW3 doesn't meet my criteria for purchasing it within the timeframe of the early adopter bonus, then I'm not opening my wallet until I can get it for at most the same overall price than if I'd purchased with the early adopter bonus. There are other games, and if the company fails to convince me the first time around, I'm not inclined to reward their failure by paying more for it.
If you're willing to wait for the new combined map to be revealed, you can wait for a big enough discount to offset not getting the Ogres for free.

I'm gonna disagree. Everyone who has ever owned a business will tell you that the vast majority of your business is returning customers. Tricking people into buying something and then feeling bad about the purchase is a fast way to lose all your customers
CA can pretend the final combined map is FLC all they want, they should be well aware it's a core feature to anyone who plays these games.
Now, of course, it also makes sense to not show it, so that people can still delude themselves how it will have everything in it. Some on here even delude themselves that it will contain more lands than Warhammer 3 will, like Nippon, or Ind or such, and then it will be DLC just for that map. So from CA's perspective, keep them guessing so that the overhyped don't turn into the disappointed.
And, honestly, I do expect there will be disappointments. And that's the real reason they won't show it.
Furthermore, I consider that Daemon Prince must be removed.

I mean, telling your customers that you won't be sharing details of the combined map until after release of the game is not tricking them. It's giving them expectations of when something will be delivered. They can then react and purchase accordingly.
We want the full warhammer world map. I wouldn’t mind if spots are empty at start, modders will even make the factions ca can’t or don’t like to do. I wouldn’t mind if there is a fog at some areas, if they get filled in the next years, but give us the full map to play with.
They've been very clear they're not showing it until way down the road. And why would they? They're marketing a new game, so they're gonna concentrate on what's going to be in on Day One, not showing features they're planning to add months after release.
I am The Beast of Guanyin, The one who beasts 25 hours a day, 8 days a week, Vanilla Gorilla, The great bright delight, Conqueror of Mountains, Purveyor of wisdom, Official forum historian, Master Tamer of energy, the one they fear to name, Beastradamus, The Teacher, Master Unbiased Pollster, The Avatar of Tuesday, Chief hype Train Conductor, Uwu Usurper, Pog Wog Warrior, Poggers Patroller, Alpha of the species, Apex protector, Praetor of Positivity, Drybrush Disciple, Sophisticated Savage.

They're marketing a new game in which they're using the ME build to show stuff. They know a huge portion of the playerbase is far more interested in the combined map.
To go even further, I'm nearly certain the community as a majority would pick the combined map over the TWW3 map if they had to pick between the two.
I mean, telling your customers that you won't be sharing details of the combined map until after release of the game is not tricking them. It's giving them expectations of when something will be delivered. They can then react and purchase accordingly.
I agree, CA having told us they're not going to tell us is better than nothing. The whole preorder bonus being dangled around still rubs some the wrong way, including me, even as I'm willing to get TWW3 regardless. The poll I've run on this forum shows at least 30-40% of respondents being more interested in combined map than TWW3 by a lot demonstrates this.
Adding to that CA is apparently comfortable using the ME build for marketing purposes shows me it's almost certainly in a advanced beta state at worst and they could show us the scope of it. Does CA legally have to do this? Probably not, nor do I think it's the most pressing ethical matter regardless. I still believe they should, and that what's needed to do so it not a big ask, *unless* they're afraid of disappointment knocking the hype train off the rails or something.

Funnily enough I wish that'd be a big bigger where the ocean between Cathay and Naggarond is concerned, haha
I really doubt we're gonna get that map unfortunately.. the best evidence is Cathay is already being squished in the TWW3 base map. If/when TWW3 releases and tehy're a giant amount of fog past Cathay or something, maybe theres' a chance, but I'm definitely not holding my breadth.
Frankly, I'm bracing myself for what is essentially the 2016 leak + TWW3's base map.

Yes they're marketing a new game, but ME or Immortal Empires now is very much a big part of the sell. They have marketed on that premise.
And CA did mention once that ME was ultimately more popular than The Vortex.. even if The Vortex was not that far behind. So it's a lil more than half of what everyone was investing time into. And it's of course what will give us access to all the races with no presence on the new story map.
So I don't think of it as something later. The game was always sold that this is a main part. Period.
That said, I don't think they show it because it's ultimately in an unpolished state. The Vortex was very well polished by comparison. Because they put the real development time into it. Parts of ME were probably made but the lackluster state it emerged in showed that it was very much done on the rush towards the end.
Regardless of the quality of it, I think really the main crux is how much it will encompass, that's what people are truly wondering. I don't think people are clamoring to make sure craftmanship of it is good (for example objects clipping badly or something on the campaign map or badly routed roads or something)

Have confidence in your work CA. We have stuck with you so far, despite some serious missteps (e.g. Norsca spaghetti and super buggy Grom DLC).
Give us a sign CA that we are actually your community, not just numbers, dollars and cents.
