The Advisor is Be'lakor's champion?

Ariel#4992Ariel#4992 Registered Users Posts: 2,505
Based on all we know and the latest trailer, I have a feeling that the advisor will once again work with you for the entire campaign and when you finally weaken all of the gods, he will be possessed by Be'lakor who will be the final boss and the unlockable 9th LL in a similar way Dong Zhuo was in three kingdoms?

Do you think this is the case? Or do you think there is still someone else?

The final rose has faded,
The eaves will sing no more;
The waxen ground will keep you bound,
Death-pale until the thaw.
Then she placed the rest of Orion's ashes into the bowl and turned to face the Oak of Ages.
I used to go by many names here. Crazycrix, Dubinekdubajs, Yrellian and finally Ariel, one of my favourite characters in the setting. Still waiting for Finubar and Naieth!

The fact that he is called the Exiled in the trailer makes me think Be'Lakor is possessing the advisor.

Interesting take. I was thinking of him more in a way professor Quirrell was before he grew a second head. Doing his best to bring back Be'lakor, getting possessed in the process and serving as a body sacrifice for Be'lakor's reborn. But you might be right that he is possessed all along.

I wonder where would Be'Lakor start. Will we get him as the advisor in the Old World first or are we going to get Be'Lakor in the Realms of Chaos, looking to spank the gods to get out of the Realms ?

You know at this point I would really like to learn the advisors name. I would like to get more info/backstory about him, his character, his personality. I am pretty sure it could be very interesting.

Who knows, maybe he ends up in a playable role eventually

What if he is the 9th LL is the mystery man leading basic WoC with a mechanic to get some of the new mortals, and then Be'lakor is the end game boss and unlockable with DoC?

Judging by what was said in the trailer (if I have a gripe, there was so much distortion used it rendered a lot of it unintelligible), he's a knowledge seeker, and "the Architect" (Tzeench, I presume) couldn't provide it all, so he came to see if Slaanesh could provide what was missing.

Not much pointed to Belakor to me.

You know if the guy becomes the 9th LL I would not be mad, but very amused.

    Guilty Gear crossover confirmed!

(Explaining the joke: Guilty Gear has a major character named That Man.)

Or the Advisor was/is Belakor, forcing events, advising all the other factions to war, to happen in this what if version of Warhammer so that he can crown a champion and break from his punishment.

You can turn on subtitles and read everything said.

That's what I did in the end. Still don't see the point of so much vocal distortion you can't hear the words properly.

'Exile' is another term for Be'lakor, so he seems to be the 9th LL (possessing or to be freed by the Advisor.)

Hopefully we don't need an internet connection to actually play as the 9th LL after unlocking him.

Made no sense with Dong in 3K.

The fact that the Advisor is a servant of Tzeentch, allows us to safely rule out, that he is Be'lakor or even associated with Be'lakor..

He could potentially jump ship from Tzeentch to Be’lakor as part of the narrative, but yeah fairly clearly isn’t Be’lakor himself.

If he's purely a servant of Tzeentch why would he be in a ruin for Slaanesh or Nurgle? its clearly Be'lakor posing as Tzeentch.

Plus Be'lakor needs a champion; so Advisor seems to be set up as.

Why wouldn't he be? You have literally no idea why he is there... He may be there to steal something. He might be there to desecrate it. He could be there for a plethora of reasons, all in the service of Tzeentch..

Because Be'lakor needs to work through a Champion.

So basically, the Advisor is the Dark Wanderer from Diablo 2? :p

So he wouldn't be in the ruins, because Be'lakor needs to work through a Champion... But... He IS in the ruins... So you just worked against your own idea...

(I like the idea that the Champion will turn out to be a reference to the player.)
