Known IssueSevere lag and eventual crash when creating a multiplayer game (lobby)

Hi friends! When creating a lobby the game will slow to <1 FPS and eventually crash. If I try clicking on the dropdown to select a race or a different leader, it will crash quicker.

I have an I7 9th gen and 8 gigs of ram, playing on Xbox game pass. I can play the game solo no issue, and during normal campaign creation, there is no lag. It is only experienced when creating a multiplayer lobby.

Update - I tried creating a multiplayer battle and also had drops to <1 fps. However, I was able to go back to the main screen without crashing.

Edit - I created a VS A.I battle which pulls up the same options and there's no lag whatsoever. It seems to be exclusive to something regarding multiplayer lobbies.


All drivers are up do date as well

If you're on game pass, try changing your profile avatar picture! When the game is trying to draw an old or default avatar, it can literally crash the game!

changing the picture worked for me, but not sure about all the other issues

Had a buddy on Game Pass with this same issue, he changed his profile picture and it fixed it
