hey i wanted to put this out there and see what everyone thinks and see if we can get it some attention ha so think of it same total war mechanics and everything same gameplay but they make it a WW2 era game tell me what you guys think
unlikely, if anything world war 1 seems much more plausible. however if you're interested in ww2 rts games might i recommend the company of heroes and men of war series'
If they keep it like we know of TW, it's not going to play anything like WW2.
They also aren't likely to get the greenlight on it as SEGA already has Relic to make WW2 games and they have shown they are expanding up to better campaign maps and have a system far better suited for such period.
There's been a little evidence lately that CA maybe looking at armoured vehicles and Valrak did something on a WW1 game (Saga) being the testing ground for a 40K game. Will have to see, there currently isn't enough info to give a reasoned answer on the chances.
I think that given enough time an TW WW2 is inevitable. The 2WW is simply too good a scenario to miss out.
And maybe it is already relatively close.
If for example CA annouces a TW Victory which more or less ends in WW1 tech or even just announce a WW1 game as next big historical title... then a WW2 is probably the game after WW1. There are some hiring hints that could point to that, likes the focus on making vehicles which with technologies that uses photos (which would come VERY handy for both of the WW's), which tend to go into the direction of more modern stuff.
Also there is the link with a TW 40 trilogy. <A lot of gameplay changes needed for a TW WW2, would also be useful for a 40k TW game and vice versa. And given the huge intensives CA will have to at least exploit the possibility of a 40k trilogy, it helps both a possible WW1 or WW2.
