Impossible to play in multiplayer...

I have a problem when i play Rome II:Total War. I can't access to multiplayer at all which is annoying me a lot. I tried to fix this by calling support but even tough i followed everything he said, my multiplayer is gone. I can see the different multiplayer campaigns but it's impossible to join any of them + there's a message poping up "incompatible version". For the multiplayer battles it's worse, the servers are simply not showing. Help me please i really wanna play in multiplayer.

Look at the top right of the Main Menu. It's also important to quote the build number as well as the version.

It looks like the game thinks you are playing a modded version because of the missing files mentioned in the modified log, which makes it incompatible with games with complete sets of files.
Try clearing your Steam Download Cache, then re-starting Steam using Run as Administrator, then repairing your Steam Library folder, then verifying your game files two or three times before launching.

To clear Steam Download Cache https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6AD7-820D-8BE5-E51F

To start Steam using Run as Administrator - Right click on your Steam icon and select Run as administator

To repair Steam folder - from your Steam client select Steam then Settings, then Downloads. You will then see a button called Steam Library folders, select that then when you see the folder you want click the three dots on the right and select Repair Folder

I've been able to play in multiplayer before but now it's gone and i havent set steam or the game as an exception on any Anti-virus software.

Try setting them as exceptions in all antivirus software, including Windows Defender, then rename the manifest.txt file in your data folder to something like manifestold, then launch Steam using run as administrator and verify the game cache again.

For any other antivirus you will need to run your own web search as I suspect they all use slightly different systems and I don't know which software you are using.

You had just as well switch back to French then and deleted both the old manifest.txt and the latest one, then verify the files again, while I think of what else you could try.
