hello--
I wanted to report that, as of the newest patch, I'm experiencing a crash whenever I try to play a custom battle (from the "vs AI" button on the "Battles" tab in the main menu). When loading the battle itself, the loading bar will reach a point around 95% complete and then the game immediately crashes to desktop. I've verified my game files to no effect.
I'm not sure why this is occurring, but having read a few other threads in the hope of finding a solution, I'm guessing it could be something to do with the "character loading" option in custom battles (as I saved characters from campaigns played on an earlier version of the game). With that said the crash occurs whether or not the "character loading" option is selected (and regardless of whether or not any saved characters are being used), and there's no message or notification about this being a risk in the game itself, nor is there any way in the game itself to delete saved characters (at least that I know of).
If you have any information which may help resolve this issue or if others are experiencing similar crashes, please let me know, as I'm hoping to find a solution. Cheers

Build number is as follows: v1.0.2 Build; 12990.2545193
Playing via Steam
Have attached my DxDiag, preferences script, and all logs. As I've experienced multiple crashes while testing this, I've included more than one crash report, with both mdmp and txt files.
I haven't included a campaign save file; any files I could attach will be from an earlier build of the game (which is likely true for the saved character files as well). I am keen to attach the saved character files as you've requested, but when I attempt to attach them, I receive a notification saying their file format (.twc) is not allowed. Please let me know how you'd like me to proceed--I'm keen to get you those files ASAP. I'll continue testing as you've described in the meantime.
Cheers
EDIT: quick update just to mention that, deleting the saved character files from the relevant folder (I have a backup elsewhere and can still supply them) does not prevent a crash. Have attached a fresh mini-dump from the crash records, this being D2022-03-23_T09-53-37.mdmp.
