I open this post to discuss the renowned regiments that we will receive by 1.3

    The first lot were mid-late tier infantry; Tzar Guard, Celestial Dragon, Maneaters, Plaguebearers, Horrors, Bloodletters, Daemonettes...probably will be early units this time for the non-chaos factions and mortals for the Chaos factions.

    Kossar, Jade Warrior, Ogre Bull, Forsaken of Nurgle, Chaos Knights of Tzeentch, Chaos Warriors of Khorne and Marauders of Slaanesh

    To tie in with the dlc.

    I couldn’t care less about RoRs. Still don’t even know what the ones are we got with the last patch.

    Your not missing anything, they started with the boring ones. Tzar Guard, Celestial Dragons, Maneater Pistols, Bloodletters, Horrors, Daemonettes and Plaguebearers.

    RoRs would be much better if they would start with 3-4 chevrons of experience, like in medieval 2. Now they are maxed ''insta recruit and fill army'' gimmick.

    I only used that Tzar Guard RoR and I still fail to see how it differs from the regular version. It’s completely pointless.

    Those are the interesting RoRs. I question the point of the WH3 ones.

    Most RoR's made by Ca look like mods to me. Nothing over the top

    Avalanche mortars go brrrrr.

    I think WH3 will get interesting RoRs in the end. Not every RoR in WH2 shines either.

    I can't lie, 1400 costed peasants would be hilarious. Immersion breaking sure, hilarious nonetheless though

    RoRs are inconsequential, don't matter at all, don't fall in CA's trick of making them "something" to look forward to.
    *Justice, cats and CONFEDERATION ENABLED for the Tomb Kings and Vampire Coast! feat mummies and Apophas.
    *Exclusive DLCs for Tomb Kings, Vampire Coast, BM, CW and WE! #DLCsAreRacesToo
    *Remaster all WH1 and WH2 faction icons for WH3!
    *Ogre Kingdoms core race or death!
    *Bring back settlement conquering artworks!
    *Gnoblar Carpet for Greesus
    *Improve UI

    How about a real nice surprise and unique models for the next set of RoR?

    I rather have these resources spend on new units.

    RoRs mean nothing to me, they might as well just don’t exist at all.

    I wouldn't be surprised if they made RoRs of each races' SEMs, the bear, terracotta, soul grinders...

    I wonder do you think CD get three RoR from the start?

    To the topic I would like cavalry or arty for Kislev / Cathay / Ogres and non-daemonic for Monos to support Champions.

    There are definitely more basic RoRs that just add stats, but the more complex RoR are interesting, and from a multiplayer perspective can add a lot of variety to an army for very little development cost on CAs part.

    Some RoRs just feel powerful to use.

    Well yes and no. It’s just the normal Dark Rider on a normal Black Pegasi… no new assets used here.

    It’s still one of the few RoRs that are actually great.

    I actually agree with you.

    Let’s take the Dragon Guard RoR for example…. Instead of having also a halberd like the regular unit, it would’ve been cool to give them different weapons, like dual swords for example.

    I actually agree with you.

    I agree with that, I'd like to see some extra model modification with new weapons or looks. I'm sure there were mostly basic recolours in 1.1, could be wrong though.

    Ice Guard with both swords and glaives with the option to switch between them.
    Celestial Dragon Crossbowmen with magical missiles and ethereal.
    Ironguts that dual-wield great weapons like the Krimson Killerz.
    A Bloodthirster RoR with a cannon-tier ranged attack with flammable attacks (all of them).
    A Lord of Change RoR with a mix of support spells that makes units tankier and killier.
    A Great Unclean One RoR with a mace that sunders armor + has healing spells.
    A Keeper of Secrets RoR with additional spells from the lore of metal and superior armor (for Slaaneshi).

    Those are one of the few I thought of.
