I legit looked at the pictures there and have difficulty finding whats different about him from Kairos; he'd be Kairos but better in melee but can't switch spells?

Maybe an Anti-Magic Mage? going from that last picture.

I wonder if there will be a legendary hero for WoC - Arbaal or somebody else. Anyway this is interesting I didn't even know Amon exists.
*Plays amon amarth in the background while playing WoC/norsca/BM/Monogods.*
Question:Presumably you’ve needed to create a huge number of new Daemon units to properly flesh them out and give them their own armies?
Answer:IR: What you’ve just said is so true,

Arbaal's worthy for being a Khorne LL.

I’m sold, I remember reading his name back on the day but nothing else. He looks cool af and seems more menacing than Kairos. Love the design in that pic of him, hope he gets the LL treatment despite being another LoC

Amon Chakai is undoubtedly cool and an absolute powerhouse, though lore wise he kind of got replaced by Kairos in 7th as Tzeentch’s favourite and the all knowing and best wizard LoC so it’s interesting to see him mentioned.

If he did come in it’d be interesting to see how they’d differentiate him from Kairos since they’re so similar. Better in combat obviously but less flexibility in spells being probably pure Tzeentch or maybe Tzeentch/Dark if they’re being adventurous.

But given his schtick of knowing the future perfectly is shared with Kairos, their campaign mechanics might be harder to make different.

That's part of the problem I see with him. Maybe his mechanic could be being able to draw on the Changing of the Ways easier?

Could be a good Legendary Hero.

The OG Lord of Change and one of the few 5 lvl wizards. (The other being Nagash from the End Times). Hopefully, a time will come when Amon comes out of Tzeentch's realm with the Sword of Change in hand and leaving doom in his wake. All hail the one true Skeksis.

Edit: The Sword of Change is an item crafted by Amon and is the only 8th edition mention he got (IIRC)

    The final rose has faded,
    The eaves will sing no more;
The waxen ground will keep you bound,
    Death-pale until the thaw.
Then she placed the rest of Orion's ashes into the bowl and turned to face the Oak of Ages.
I used to go by many names here. Crazycrix, Dubinekdubajs, Yrellian and finally Ariel, one of my favourite characters in the setting. Still waiting for Finubar and Naieth!

Nice. Not sure if much comes out of it after Kairos, but I would not mind if he found a sweetspot in Tzeentch-race. Better then upgrading Sarthoral to FLC LL ;)

I can't wait for CA to make him a WoC LL...

So really depends on how many characters we're expecting for Chaos specifically, though based on the upcoming lord pack and the fact that CA is having discussions about who should be lord 100 (which implies 10 more legendary lords are within the foreseeable plan for CA after the chaos dawi) it's quite possible we would see Amon 'Chakai get added, probably with some reimagining to link up more clearly with 8th edition.

Clearly the champions of chaos book is on the table (and notably the swords of chaos characters have received no references at all) so if CA is looking at filling up Nurgle with faces like Tarmurkhan, Valnir, the Glottkin, Epidemius and Gutrot Spume it seems quite possible that there is space enough for Egrimm, Amon, the Blue Scribes, and Galrauch to fit for Tzeentch. Really depends on how many slots CA has set aside for each god considering Kislev, Cathay, the Empire, the Dawi, and the Vampires are all seemingly planned to get something.

Still if CA's target ends up being two 4 LL packs per year with FLC LL's that's fairly feasible. CA was averaging between 6 and 9 LL's for TWW2's life cycle but part of that was due to the unexpected success of the game. Obviously the later DLC were clearly expansions in scope rather than the cleanly planned out Queen and Crone/Prophet and Warlock packs that were pretty clearly planned from early in production. It seems pretty clear that CA and GW took some extra time on preproduction for game 3's expansions so keeping to that higher average is possible.

Man it'll be nice to have some information on the actual DLC instead of just speculating.

A chance to update the Exalted Lord of Change to match the newest miniature?

At the time when Amon 'Chakai was playable, Nagash was also playable (and a level 5 wizard)... and Teclis was also a level 5.

If we are counting the End Times, too, all of the Incarnates that were Wizards before becoming Incarnates became level 5s.
