Who tf was expecting a three armed demon abomination?

    Errrrr me?

But i see, asking for a model that resembles the original GW miniature is (now) too much to ask. Shame on me! I should've hoped to get a recoloured WoC Sorcerer since the beginning!

    Big difference there.
Even if you think we are getting the lowest fruit and cheapest option, trust me, it won't happen. A Magus? Oldest Tzeentch Sorcerer Lord? Impossible.

Slaanesh Lord? Just a new helmet.

Nurgle Lord? Just a GUO pair of horns.
Oh yeah... It's quite clear that they are going to pick whatever Tzeentch Sorcerer Lord model that lets them reuse the most assets.

    He'll be like 20-30% New.
Seems like they just decided to do basic level remodels for everything at a LP price rather than go full unique with it for a bigger price.
Yep... if they try to charge Campaign Pack prices I'll balk.
That'd be an actual debacocalypse. LPs might go up in price for TWW3 but I'd be shocked if this was a CP price.

When I played WH... all* the insane looking Chaos minis were typically the result of sculpting, kitbashing, and greenstuff. Or confined to artwork examples. Overwhelmingly, chaos stuff was just color-themed pseudo clones with a few bits that might be tucked into the ass end of a sprue somewhere for garnish.

Did the Chaos minis develop a massive boost in quality or something in the last 10-12 years? (Serious question, I exited the hobby a ways back).

Cuz I'm wondering where everyone seems to think every model in a chaos army is some massive showpiece.

*There have always been some special models.

Also... how is it people still buy all these minis in an era of laser-scanning 3D printers? Amazed that people don't just download schematics online for that and print all day long. No joke... the 3D Printer startup cost is less than one large WH army anyway, and you can use it to make many armies. LOL.

Because this is a game and the cost to make the models is fractional in comparison to actual pewter minis 20 years ago that have to be physically shipped around the globe.

We want the Impressive Kitbashed Mini's to be CA's standard.... It's closer to the Lore and Artwork than what GW was able to reasonably produce and sell in the past.

I mean FF's how often did you play TT against an army that was barely more than primered? It was pretty common, should that be the standard?
Well, the models are still sound. But yeah, there's always a couple of people that are lagging on their painting. But still, the models look good, even stock. Also in another similar thread I made comments about game-performance that could prevent making truly insane models everywhere. People who don't have high-end PCs still need to be able to play the game...

It'll probably be this, the official Tzeentch Lord on Disc model. This with maybe some bits and pieces inspired by Age of Reckoning.

I don't think anything heavily mutated will be in, as it still has to cover the Undivided -> Marked transition.

If we get this I'll be happy, but considering the Nurgle lord I'm not sure there will be much more than a new hat.

They'll use whatever was 8th Edition; only taking from older if it helps keep cohesion between all the new models. Something looking vastly different from the others would be a bit weird.

Well the Nurgle Lord miniatue in the 8th edition Warriors of Chaos army book is this:

And an undivided sorcerer should have looked like this:

Safe to say it's not these

That's Chaos Lord of Nurgle. He isn't part of the DLC anyway.
