Warhammer II Windows Store Achievements Issues

I purchased Total War: Warhammer II through the windows store. The achievements are unlocking incorrectly, either completely random achievements unlocking or having the wrong achievement unlocking when meeting specific criteria. For example having a tomb kings achievement unlocking on turn 6 of a lizardmen campaign (and I don't own the Tomb Kings DLC) or having 'The Forest Whispers My Name' unlocking upon getting my lord to level 10.

and it would be great if missing achievements could be added for example: The good old times: Win the Mortal Empires singleplayer campaign with a race from the Old World. Seems that all non-base game achievements are missing.

i agree, total war Warhammer 2 achievements are all messed up, the wrong ones unlock when you do things.

A fix would be greatly appreciated.

I posted about this on true achievements and on the reddit (which was down voted.) I have a feeling this will never be resolved... such a shame as I really wanted to get all achievements across WH1-3 on steam and win10.

I have had the same problem with WH2 on win10, WH1 and WH3 both seem to work fine . Would be great if there was a fix for this.

This is a very disappointing bug that needs to be addressed as per Microsoft's Terms of Service and the contractual obligations for publishers (and therefore developers) who publish on the Microsoft Store platform.

CA can't release a game with broken functionality - including achievements - on the Microsoft Store and just let it lie. This is especially true as this bug has players unlocking some achievements for DLC they do not own - essentially obligating them into purchasing it.

Could we have a developer or community manager respond to this thread?

Relax, way too soon to be getting the pitchforks. give them time. They have a good track record of fixing issues but they just released the most ambitious expansion in a game of this genre. They'll likely handle this when immortal empires gets sorted.

This is ridiculous, it’s still broken. I basically bought these on the Xbox windows thing to get achievements on my Xbox profile, and this long after launch for such a basic function to be broken, when it works fine in the other games, has really soured me on the purchase. Please fix this

Also in the same boat. I really want to get back into Warhammer II, but it's a little off-putting having random achievements pop up that have no relation to my current campaign. I'm not even one turn into a campaign for a Vampire Pirate faction, and I've unlocked an achievement for completing 50 research as the Lizardmen, a faction I've yet to play

Fix this please. Or at least provide an update on it. I’ve lodged tickets and messages to no response. I paid for your product, and an advertised feature isn’t working properly, months after launch

Hilariously a ticket with sega returns a suggestion that I post here. So here I am, please give at least an update as to whether this is a known issue if there’s no intention to fix it anytime soon

I have just ran into this issue. Played a multiplayer game with a friend and unlocked Origin Unknown (Construct the Sanctum of Quintex in the Ancient City of Quintex), rather than Spoiling for a Fight (Play a multiplayer battle). Odd issue but as others have said, somewhat ruins the enjoyment of playing the game and wanting to unlock some achievements along the way. If the issues is not fixed, I wonder if this would deem the purchase refundable in Microsoft's eyes due to the broken functionality of a function them deem integral to their online services.

Given how long it’s been with no mention of the issue from them I don’t think it’s going to be fixed. I feel like it is an issue that could be used for a refund given it’s a listed feature that doesn’t work correctly, but I’m still holding out irrational hope that eventually one day it’ll be addressed.

So after trying to raise this with support I was directed back to the forums to raise this matter with CA directly. So here i am again.

Hello CA. An integral feature of the platform you released this game on is not currently working, for an unknown amount of users. This issue has been ongoing since August, yet the game is still on sale while clearly not being ready to be released via the windows store.

Please review this, and please fix this.

I bought this on the windows store because Xbox is my main gaming profile and I’m a weirdo who likes getting achievements. I already had the games in steam. So this is a major bummer for me. Please acknowledge or fix, or I guess I’ll keep posting every week I’m the hope that someone sees this or something I dunno

Let's face it, CA aren't going to fix this. They're done with WH2 and dont care about this platform. They only released this so WH3 players on Windows store/Game pass had access to IE, and I assume that player base is far smaller than their steam player base.

If you really want the achievements then I suggest you do as I and many others have done, start a list and tick them off once you've done them. I've added the corresponding achievements to the guides on TA for the ones I am certain of, and a few others have done the same. I hope this helps some of you, and if you are certain of ones without the linked achievements then please add to this.

While not the worst advice ever. who is to say you can even unlock all achievements in the game, if they're not functioning to begin with?

It was unlikely anything would have been fixed over the festive period. Appreciate the team would have been out of office. Hoping we here something soon.

Would assume it's a very simple fix, but I'm not a game developer.

I can, as I have completed them all. I was the first on TA, so one can assume with the mess the game's achievements are in that I was also the first player to do so overall too.

Like I said, I've added comments/guides to TA for the achievements I am certain on. Others have done the same.

Sure, I doubt a fix would have come during the holidays, but it has been out for 5 months now, without them even acknowledging the issue.

And while they could fix this, what happens to the players who have completed some achievements, do they have to complete the same achievement a second time to actually unlock it? Would they game even be able to recognise that? I think the simplest solution is for CA to provide a list of the achievements, with the actual unlock goal/target, so that people can work through the list to complete what they have remaining. This would also surely be the least effort for CA and not even need an update. Just a thought...
