Signed, i hope this would actually make an impact and bring the game back, i used to have real fun playing this as the Greeks and using hoplite and pike formations, shame it went the way of the dodo
"Rage - Goddess, sing the rage of Peleus' son Achilles, murderous, doomed"
Balance issues aside, it was a pay-to-win format. Like directly pay-to-win. Not indirectly via powercreep. It was full on mobile-game level pay-to-win.
I hope CA never does anything like that ever again.
Sub-Commander Team Games as a MODE could be cool. Built into the base game for fun like FFA's are. So I'm okay with Arena coming back in that sense. As a mode within a game that I've already paid for.
But I do not wish for it to come back as its own separate game. Especially if it's going to keep the monetization structure that it had.
I used to play Arena everytime I could. This is by far the best video game I ever played to.
I totally disagree with previous post from Valkaar : I never spent a penny in Arena and yet my winrate was good.
The two main things you could buy in this game were : 1. Premium units (usually strong, yet not providing a sure win). Remember it's a 10 vs 10 battle, so having a little advantage with power units wont make the difference if you don't know how to play in a team.
2. Cosmetics. For sure it's pleasant to modify the aspect of your troups, yet it does not help in any way to reach victory.
I definitely would not hesitate to spend 70€ to buy the game access. Please release it with a cost so the whiners against f2p cannot trashtalk about the title just because of this aspect.
Please get rid of the NetEase modifications : we do not wan't fallen troups to revive, we want epic battles with every single soldier beeing precious, and the loss of any unit an important thing.
Thanks a lot to CA for providing this masterpiece, may it live long!
