The fact remains that they have to have a high mass unit that can stop chariots and cavalry. Every other faction has them... And infantry cannot do the job. So its either golems or rollers.... take your pick.
Without that they will be unplayable in sp or mp.
And ofc they need the other changes mentioned to their units. But mass is by far the biggest issue and ironbreakers don't cut it.

The only unit acrch type that makes dwarfs cry are chariots and death runners. Thats it.
Big uber monsters are generally not usefull against these. Unless you literally make a doom stack of them

If all you're worried about is stopping chariots, I have to ask why you're not shooting them down. You have a bunch of AP ranged weapons that should make quick work of chariots.
Are you fighting like, a full stack of chariots or something?
Chariots can be issue in MP not gonna lie but if it wasn't a issue dwarfs would be one of the most busted races out there.
The issue is people first get there infantry engaged and than use chariots to harras the back line .
And than if they don't manage to stop the chariots than its a whole mess. Now that said dwarfs do have the tools to stop them .
Gyros and rune magic smoke bombs all work
So it works out not bad for them since with some skill they can stop the chariots.
The issue is HE who can both kill the gyros and have the best ap chariots. And have enough healing to sustain through the times when they get hit by slows.

Is it also not possible for dragon princess waking up so many dragon to ride them.
That they want their glory back is one thing but saying they can archieve what they lost thousand of years ago is just not possible.
Also even with a slannesh silver tongue it would take the dwarf decade or even hundreth of years as even the most inventive and modern dwarf enginer most hear the grumble of the one old one and make thousnad on thousand of test.

I would just think that while you could try to focus down that giant dread saurian or something, all that firepower is going to be solely focused on a single giant unit, that doesn't just die in 2 seconds.
And while I do know that slayers are VERY good at killing monsters, they often lose a ton of their guys in the process.
So I think I'll be forgiven for wanting the dwarfs to get something a fair bit sturdier to deal with monstrous units.

Over in the Tech Tree the Tech "Slayers Oath" could add -1 Global Recruitment Time, and the Tech "Grimnir's Favour" could offer -1 Local Recruit Time and -1 Global Recruitment Time.

I'm not saying they should be super fast or anything, just that things like Rune Guardians and Golems could help them at least be more aggressive if they want to be.

Good point, they probably should have those sorts of buffs given to slayers to make them a fair bit more viable and cost effective.

Anyways, to address your point OP, no. Dwarfs shouldn’t have monsters or mobility in my opinion. They are all about their ranged firepower and their toughness in holding the line.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass...and I’m all out of bubblegum.
To delete those giant monsters and such require you to protect your slayers so they can go and kill the big beasty or focus much of your artillery and other firepower on them.

This is why I want Gyros with Gatling Cannons... They can be a Rapid Responder that can lay down suppressive fire on a target, allowing other dwarfs the opportunity to move in and engage. To some extent the Gyrobomber can already do this but the Bomber is expensive because your paying for all those bombs.
This is also why I think it was such a sin for CA to not give Tunderers and Quarelers Charge Def Vs Large. With Charge Def vs. Large the Dwarfs can dispense with their Melee units needing to be Blocker units, they can be their own self contained Blocker units and if you put them on guard mode and give them attack order on chariots or cavalry they'll always be braced and facing the right direction to receive the charge from that unit. Combine not taking all that bonus damage on the Charge with their old Dwarf Onion style of play where you cover your ranged units with other ranged units and it would give chariots a bad day unless the opponent really times a combined offensive really well.
And as far as the Rules Justification goes... Shield Wall is the reason why CA gave all the Melee Dwarfs with Shields Charge Def vs. Large, Not only do Thunderers and Quarelers have Shield Wall as a Rule but both Dwarf X-Bows and Hand Guns have the Rule Dwarf Crafted which is another rule that benefits shooting units responding to a charge. It's so Obvious that CA should have given these units Charge Def vs. Large but where just to scared to do something that radicle in Game 1. Then enter Lothern Sea Guard in game 2 and it's suddenly not so scary.
That said I understand that Dwarfs have a really strange Rock Paper Scissor Game compared to other factions.
Slayers are weirdly Expensive and Flimsy... you know... Thinking about it.. what would make Slayers REALLY GOOD... Is Charge Reflection but not a normal Charge Reflection... a Charge Reflection that works even without bracing.... Obviously only vs Large units. (Except Doomseekers who should be the reverse)
I know they had some stuff like that, but I still think that they need something to help them against large units, as things like ogres ignore charge defense, though I do like your idea for the slayers getting some sort of thing to help them mess up large units.
I honestly just want the Rune Guardians and Golems to be an expensive high end unit for the dwarfs so that they can actually have some more tactical options besides just turtling all the time.
I want them to actually be able to attack if they want.

I think that the Hammerers are fine the way they are for the most part, as they can really smash the faces of almost anything.
And I don't think that we're like that, we just point out how adding things like the Rune Guardians and Golems won't break the game.
If anything I would say that the people opposed to these like 2 units are doing that sort of "La la la la, I can't hear you!" stuff.

And while I do know that slayers are VERY good at killing monsters, they often lose a ton of their guys in the process.
So I think I'll be forgiven for wanting the dwarfs to get something a fair bit sturdier to deal with monstrous units.

Slayers are better vs monsters infantry and light cav ..etc.
Not really against big monsters.
Orger kingdom is like basically easy to beat as dwarfs. Pick like 5 gyro brimstones
And get couple of cannons and than its basically easy mode against them.
Orgers can't do **** against you unless you really misplay.

0 · Disagree AgreeMaybe Slayer Shrines should give a small global buff to Slayer replenishment, maybe 1% for a Slayer Shrine and 2% for a Monument of Grimnier? Over in the Tech Tree the Tech "Slayers Oath" could add -1 Global Recruitment Time, and the Tech "Grimnir's Favour" could offer -1 Local Recruit Time and -1 Global Recruitment Time.

0 · Disagree AgreeTo delete those giant monsters and such require you to protect your slayers so they can go and kill the big beasty or focus much of your artillery and other firepower on them.
I just think that that the dwarfs should have some other things that give them more options that just pure turtling all the time.
I'm not saying they should be super fast or anything, just that things like Rune Guardians and Golems could help them at least be more aggressive if they want to be.

0 · Disagree AgreeAnyways, to address your point OP, no. Dwarfs shouldn’t have monsters or mobility in my opinion. They are all about their ranged firepower and their toughness in holding the line.

0 · Disagree AgreeThis is also why I think it was such a sin for CA to not give Tunderers and Quarelers Charge Def Vs Large. With Charge Def vs. Large the Dwarfs can dispense with their Melee units needing to be Blocker units, they can be their own self contained Blocker units and if you put them on guard mode and give them attack order on chariots or cavalry they'll always be braced and facing the right direction to receive the charge from that unit. Combine not taking all that bonus damage on the Charge with their old Dwarf Onion style of play where you cover your ranged units with other ranged units and it would give chariots a bad day unless the opponent really times a combined offensive really well.
And as far as the Rules Justification goes... Shield Wall is the reason why CA gave all the Melee Dwarfs with Shields Charge Def vs. Large, Not only do Thunderers and Quarelers have Shield Wall as a Rule but both Dwarf X-Bows and Hand Guns have the Rule Dwarf Crafted which is another rule that benefits shooting units responding to a charge. It's so Obvious that CA should have given these units Charge Def vs. Large but where just to scared to do something that radicle in Game 1. Then enter Lothern Sea Guard in game 2 and it's suddenly not so scary.
That said I understand that Dwarfs have a really strange Rock Paper Scissor Game compared to other factions.
Slayers are weirdly Expensive and Flimsy... you know... Thinking about it.. what would make Slayers REALLY GOOD... Is Charge Reflection but not a normal Charge Reflection... a Charge Reflection that works even without bracing.... Obviously only vs Large units. (Except Doomseekers who should be the reverse)

I want them to actually be able to attack if they want.
