I hope that Sean Barrett (the Advisor) is alright

As pointed out in this forum post: https://forums.totalwar.com/discussion/317602/apparently-there-are-no-advisor-introduction-to-factions#latest

The devs have apparently cut out the Advisor introduction narration for the factions, apparently to cut down the costs and makes things simpler. Also, the Advisor is absent as the narrator for the recent Champions of Chaos introduction videos.

Sean Barrett is the voice actor for the Advisor, and is 82 years old as of now. If one of the reasons is health related issues that might have contributed to the cutting of the Advisor introduction narrations, then I hope that Mr. Barrett is doing alright. I wish him the best of health <3

I think flexibility is a key factor too, perhaps the main one aside from cost. The advisor introduction is usually pretty specific to a certain starting position. Not having it allows them to make changes to starting positions without needing to re-record an intro every time. Given the massive size of IE and the vast quantity of content yet to be added, there will surely be many changes to start positions. I liked these little intros, but it makes sense to leave them out for this reason.

I thought exactly the same thing. I hope he is okay. I thought it might be down to the fact that IE will change a lot too. Absolutely love the Advisor.

He did narrate the long Immortal Empires trailer so he has been able to work fairly recently. The narrator not being part of the Champion of Chaos campaign is no cause for alarm, the character is already an integral part of the Realm of Chaos campaign so can't be used for the Champions of Chaos one.
The user formerly known as KN_Gars, thanks for the involunatry rename CA.

    Also, it is a Beta.

He's a part of the original WoC plot, too.

It was done so they can more easily move LLs around.

Like I have said in another thread: if CA want to leave an open door for potential future LL movements, then fine, but they still should do LL introductions. Make the Advisor praise our characters, describe their deeds and origins. Flavour is all!

He cannot narrate the story because CoC plays after the Ursun campaign. He is currently freed from his book and traveling the Warhammer world again.

The final LL of the series should be the advisor.

Game3 happens before Game2, and he is a narrator in it and Game1, which in turn happens after Game2.

    Lol who disagrees with this?

Is cost cutting for CA everything to you?
It needs to be pointed out that what people call "cheese" is just playing the game the way it actually exists not in some fictional way they think it is supposed to work.

Gonna be honest.... I absolutely love this guy. I feel like voice actors aren't appreciated as much as they should. We got so many gigachad voices in Warhammer. Bless this man and hope for the best!!!! Advisor is an icon♡

82 and still kicking. Really hoping he's alright. If he's absent from the newest DLC and IE, then something's happening for sure...

I was talking about the CoC storyline. This happens after WH 3's main story

THis is a BETA, they could change some starting positions, they have 0 reasons to make something definitive like the advisor intros.

Unfortunately, it appears to be the case.

And? After the events of realm of chaos he was wandering around until the events of the vortex campaign. Where is he is not really the narrator but the advisor. But it would be strange if he was freed from the book and one second later he becomes the narrator of another event. I think it is save to say that the timespan between RoC and CoC is shorter then between RoC and Vortex.

Maybe he was and maybe he wasn't. Maybe he immediately got into another trouble. It seems to be a theme for him.
