Can't play Warhammer 3 multiplayer modded with steam users, when using Epic version.

My friend (on steam) and I (on epic) tried to play WH3 modded together, but when I try to join it says that our versions don't match. We tried this using a single mod so we don't have any load order issues, where he installed using the steam version mod launcher/workshop, and I put the file from the steam workshop into a mod folder and created a user.script.txt file for it.

Had not luck so far, so here is the stuff I tried out.

-We both tried installing the mod using the same method (so him not using the mod launcher to activate).
-I tried putting the .pack mod file in the data folder instead of the mod folder.
-I tried using the Epic version of launcher mod manager.
-I tried using .pack file manager to change the .pack type to movie.

All these methods made my mod work in single-player, but we're not able to join each other in multiplayer.

Any tips or solutions are appreciated, please and thank you.
