Does the Empire or Bretonnia have better knights?

Can't vote without knowing whether we're talking lore or in game.

It sort of depends on whether we're counting flyers, (if so Bretonnia), just landbound cav (which allows the Empire to take the crown via the demigryphs) or limiting our definition to purely guys on horses (which would put the Frenchmen back on top).

While the Empire should have more variety of specialist cavalry, due to the obscene number of knightly orders they have in setting and TT; Bretonnia should probably have a qualitative advantage in each tier in just about everything except armor value. Had they been updated alongside the other armies in TT, they probably would have gotten a Demigryph equivalent in 8th edition, most likely in Questing Beasts as was hinted at in some artwork.
