I dearly hope you're not in the engineering field or something of the sort
Why? Some of America's greatest engineers repeatedly failed while trying to go to the moon.
Regular engineers aren't expected to fail because they are working with well understood problems, those that pioneer new things fail. That's what R&D involves.
Malakai is the inventor the Grimm wish he could be... but Malakai is a Slayer because innovation requires failing many times over and the Dwarfs don't accept failure.
Unsinkable ship that actually sunk is a great innovation.
Is it a ship or a Submarine ? Like I have Nautilus in my head but I don't remember if it's with Malakai or another
If we don't get thunder barge and some type of fast moving mechanical unit that sort of works like cavalry I'm going to be ****. There surely has to be some sort of fast moving dwarven contraption they can add. Sick of dwarves being bottom tier in multi player.
Can people stop saying that he invented a flying ship ? Those already existed before he even tried his first
Hell the Thunderbarge existence precede his first appearance I think
“Ah can tell yer impressed,” Makaisson said, glancing over at Felix. “An so ye should be — this is the biggest and best airship ever built. Actually, as far as ah ken it’s only the second one ever built.”
From Daemonslayer.
The first one is of course the undestructible, also made by Malakai.
Now you will say that "as far as ah ken", means that there could be others Malakai doesnt know about, but if there was a flying ship made before, the dwarfs would know about it, specially the engineers. So at least until Malakai was expelled from the guild there were no others.
That's what he said, not what is correct, and we all know how boastful the dwarfs are
Zhufbar it's self has already launched 3 such Tunderbarge. 1 being named but the 2 other remaining unnamed

Yeah, and does it mention those were launched before Malakais one?
They appear in the lore even before Malakai was invented, so either they were retconned to be his invention or they existed before him And the Dwarf Navy also use them (dreadfleet)

I dont see how that goes against Malakai being the inventor, you can include a machine into the setting and later say "Oh yeah it was created by x".
That RoR is. But Sea Slayers other than Drong's unit may exist.
I think I remember a mention about Kraken Slayer, but I don't remember their cannonicity
Other wise for Sea/Mariner units/variants we have Barak Varr's Thunderlord (Ranger with Handgun) and Thunderguard (Not sure if Ironbreaker or Hammerer)

Inquiring minds want to know.
Got the name wrong so I spend a few minutes looking up the wrong word and missed it:
A large regiment of Hammerers known as the Storm Guard are stationed as Karnji's personal guard when he leads the army and act as his heralds when he is absent
first we need engineering focus dlc, then everything else
Slayers and a Thunderbarge.
Led by Malakai.
I am The Beast of Guanyin, The one who beasts 25 hours a day, 8 days a week, Vanilla Gorilla, The great bright delight, Conqueror of Mountains, Purveyor of wisdom, Official forum historian, Master Tamer of energy, the one they fear to name, Beastradamus, The Teacher, Master Unbiased Pollster, The Avatar of Tuesday, Chief hype Train Conductor, Uwu Usurper, Pog Wog Warrior, Poggers Patroller, Alpha of the species, Apex protector, Praetor of Positivity, Drybrush Disciple, Sophisticated Savage.

Blood in the Badland
Ah... Sad... no experimental units in that book from an army perspective. Most of the introduced things there are about sieges. Skaven have a nice Warp-Doom Magma-Cannon.
It is good that Malakai invented the airships then, look at my other comment.
I don't think that's true, but either way he for sure didn't invent Ironclads.
No, but the one he made was the biggest ever (said in the book), so he didnt just copy the existing ones.
He says that about the Spirit of Grugni, not the Ironclad
“He built the biggest steamship ever,” Varek said conversationally. “The Unsinkable. Was two hundred paces long. Weighed five hundred tons. It had steam-powered gatling turrets. It had a crew of over three hundred dwarfs and thirty engineers. It could sail at three leagues an hour. Such an impressive sight it was, with its paddles churning the sea to foam and its pennons flying in the breeze.”

I'll admit I though you were talking about the quote you previously showed
