Dwarves fighting Dwarves end game

You're playing as a dwarf faction and longstanding friends with 4 other factions. Then all break alliances and your territory is beset by mulitple doomstacks on top of your most valued lands. This doesn't make sense and CA should prioritize another scenario when you are playing as dwarves or rework how it plays out. I'm sorry, but this is a stupid.
