warhammer multiplayer

lets say on a free-for-all multiplayer run on warhammer 3. i choose to take control of another players enemy AI faction, during battle. the other player is playing at hard battle difficulty, do i gain the Hard battle difficulty bonuses or does the battle become "neutral" between two players?
