Helgar herself looks pretty good. But something about the faces of those shield maidens just seems off, I can't quite put my finger on what it is though.

I rate 9/10. Minus one point and plus one grudge for darkling elgi looking boobplate on proper dawi rinns.

While I can see some lone dwarf women stubbornly pick up weapons and go to war, or fight when directly threatend, you think the dwarf society would let entire regiments of them march into the meatgrinder? ^^

RoR would be more fitting. Or cap them 1 unit per level 4 settlement.

Only spawn to defend high level castles. That sounds like something dawi women would do.

I think that's a good thing because the Dwarf roster really misses that.

Hopefully in future Dwarven content, in addition to Grim Burlocksson and the missing engineering units (and other content), we'll have the character of Alrik Ranulfsson, and he might bring his wife with him: Queen Winnifer Flaxenhair. Who could be a Legendary hero Priestess of Valaya (who are healers) and could bring either a renown unit or a generic unit from female order of warriors called the Valkyrie Guards.

And, yes, some of those shield-maidens do appear to be inspired by Damsels. Then again, it's a mod.

I think he meant innate qualities rather than beautifiers. That being said, while I won't say who and when for obvious reasons, the answer is a resounding yes. There are hundreds of pictures showing that not even warfare can stop make-up from being applied.

I wouldn't mind if CA made it so that you gain access to one unit of Valkyrie Guard per Priestess of Valaya/Temple to Valaya. As far as I know, Dawi don't field mixed, not to mention all-female troops except for these temple guards.
