Multiplayer Co-op Keeps Crashing

Between turns 5 and 10 the game will crash. No diplomacy, no battles, just campaign map looking at buildings and deciding economy moves. What is happening? Also, the save files disappear for auto and hard saves. Can anyone help me out?
