Upcoming Historical TW Game

I've looked at the announcements etc. and don't see anything relevant, but just in case:

Can anyone categorically state whether there will be a new historical Total War game, and if there will, does anyone know what the setting will be?

Yes there will be a new one.

Depends if it's a SAGA or mainline title; the next major historical title will probably be Medieval 3 total war.

They should just make "Total War: Ancient Empires", that's just Immortal Empires, except it's a map of the real world, and they add all their historical races to it.

Sorry, I initially posted this in the warhammer forum where it was probably not wanted (because clicking buttons is apparently beyond my ability), which is probably the reason for this response.

Yes there will be a new one.

This could be the perfect game if approached right. I wish!

3K was their best performing game, they made mistakes and I assume the second version will hopefully deal with them.

It is not officialy confirmed or annauced, but, Medieval 2 remaster is expected

Yes Ca has confirmed another Historical game is in the works and has been for a while. Was confirmed in their video saying the end of 3K support and that they split off a team to make a second game based off the Three Kingdoms but going in a different route (Romance and character focused). So it's further along in development than the next 3K game but no news from the SAGA team.

What time period it would be hasn't been said and they tend not to give details on it until they announce it. Would think their next game would be announced next year with Feb being the earliest it might happen, either the next Historical or SAGA title.

No i am gonna be honest i am refusing to buy any historical tws.
I had all the fun i could with them..


Med 3 or empire 2 or what ever is not going to change that.

I don't exactly have tons of insider information about the next historical TW game, but I hope it's an Empire 2 and CA does it right.

They were suppose to annouced it 2 years ago and that annoucement just got cancel so yeah watever TW is dead to me since TROY i had hope for Knight of Honor II but its not very good either.

Announce what? Next Historical? That wasn't going to be 2 years ago, 3K had only released the previous year and was still getting content. Next Saga title? That wasn't going to be 2 years ago as Troy had only came out.
