I don't know. Paradox a company with around 500 employees is making monthly dev diary's and more if i watch at steam for at least the 4 games i own.
CA on the other hand with 850 employees have to push it back because i don't know. They have to line things up.
"But right now, we need a little more time to line things up before we can go deep with a State of the Game or roadmap that is good for the game, the team, and, of course, you!"
The community is unhappy with this decision and is telling it to CA in this forum. So to tell a company/person that i dislike their decisions is toxic now.
They could at least give us a vague FLC roadmap like this:
If you tell someone what to expect and don't deliver it's dissapointing. If there is a really important reason to do it, then tell us that we understand it. Will still be dissapointing but if it's understandable you won't get such bad feedback.
Maybe CA should learn at paradox or other companies how you hold your community happy and be a little more transparent.
No wonder CA can not keep a good community manager for more than a few months.
No one wants a job where you sit there every day and take flak because the CA developers and managers are inept and greedy with 0 quality control.
Oh yeah a company operates profit oriented, how dare they!
Calling CA greedy is just ridiculous. They don’t have to fix the game with free patches and improve it with awesome FLCs, but they are still doing it.
No they don't HAVE to but if they left their biggest game in an unplayable mess it would irreparably damage their brand and reputation. Bethesda went from the Golden Child to being universally hated with FO76. When a company fixes a broken product, they're not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts or because they gosh darn love the fans so much. They're doing it so that the same dupes that bought their last broken product will buy their next broken product. It's completely self serving I assure you.
Request scorched body textures, and fire death effects. At least 30% of all damage in this game comes from fire sources. Request Fire for the Fire God DLC.

I don’t think it’s a factor of number of pers tbh. The impression I’ve got (particularly from comments Simone used to make) is that there’s one or more pers in management who is incredibly micromanagey and perfectionist wrt any sort of communication who is blocking the CMs from actually communicating and holding up press releases until they’re absolutely perfect. To much consternation from the customers.

I don't know perfectionist is the word I would use.

Unplayable? Nope. The game, while having flaws and issues is perfectly playable.
Agreed about Bethesda tho. They were my favourite developer in the good old Skyrim days. But FO76 is just… terrible.

Have you heard the saying ‘don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good’?
You can be perfectionist over the small details in a way that completely destroys the success of the bigger picture.
Like here it seems they’re not releasing the roadmap until it’s absolutely perfect in some way, when all of us would much rather we have something now even if it’s a basic outline and we get something more accurate later.

Makes me really worried about Starfield.
The game wasn't playable at launch. MP was a disaster missing it's legacy mode causing half the community to leave. The campaign was just the realms of chaos and souls race, but the pre-patched version... yeah I stand by what I said.
I think starfield will probably be good though, Tod is aware that they need to hit a home run to recover from 76, which they still haven't.

You clearly don't play game Empire confederacy mechanic is broken, so without gimping yourself you can't even play as main race Lizardmen have their questlines broken, especially Oxyotl main mechanic can drop quests in middle of you completing them While moving Skrag just one province away made Belegar way more playable, his campaign pacing is still utterly broken because both pirates and ikit were added with him moving toawrds them in mind, but now he moves away from them Generally campaign having problem and being very biased against player, with enemy still hating you and sending fleets across half map(just less in 2.3), and actually having alliance with any race will remove ai cheats from that faction. Which really ruins player experience. And you still can't turn rifts off in realms of chaos campaign There a good reason why IE marked as beta, it's unplayable mess for the most of factions, mostly thanks to balance issues, but some don't even have properly working mechanics.

If someone sells me a faulty product, I will most definitely expect them to fix it at their cost. I paid for my expectations, which they generated through marketing. So I wholly disagree that there is no liability on them to fix things.

That’s weird, because I played the game yesterday. Are you sure you’re not getting mixed up between unplayable and playable with issues?
