I noticed today that Davedave, one of the most prolific posters here, has been banned:
https://forums.totalwar.com/profile/comments/davedave1124#4773Not sure if it's permanent or just a temporary suspension. Can't say I was a fan of his aggressive and often intentionally disruptive style, but I thought that bans were reserved for bots, porn etc. Did anything serious happen in the community during the Christmas vacations?

Getting a permanent ban is probably reserved for real troublemakers/trolls. I would assume Dave might have just used one swear word to many or disrupted a topic once to often and got a time-out.
And this topic here, might already break rule#8
so it might get closed soon and it might be unwise to discuss much further
