Ah yes, the old ultra high impact info release, as opposed to the drip-drip approach. I knew it was a possibility but it’s good to be finally updated with solid info.

They’ve obviously been working on a wide range of improvements and may need to see the impact of these changes before they reveal a more solid roadmap.

Overall I’m quite happy with this although a similar message could’ve come sooner.

There’s evidently the Information road map and the Content road map. Good to know.

Cheers for the increase in communication lately, long may it continue!

Is there any post that wouldn’t get the classic, thanks for the info, long this continue type posts

If they posted, hi all, nothing to update for now. See you in a months time, would people be falling over themselves to congratulate CA for communicating
If all this thread said was 'hi, how are you?' I wouldn't be thanking anybody.

It's not a good look that the roadmap has been delayed until after the Chaos Dwarfs, but this message says something to us.

    1) It tells us not to expect the roadmap until April instead of us waiting and checking back every day at 3pm
    2) It once more reiterates that the Chaos Dwarfs are on schedule for April
    3) It mentions again that the final DLC of the year is still scheduled to be released in Winter
    4) It confirms that the range bug (one of the worst in recent history of the game) is on the block for 3.0
    5) It tells us that we wont be getting much info released in March until the middle of the month.

This announcement was not 'nothing'. And if the last 6 months have been summated by a single point it's that there isn't enough communication, not that there isn't enough roadmaps. This post was good communication and well received.

CA, I am very concerned about only one question! When to wait for the lizardmen's rework?!

Thanks for letting me know that the roadmap was delayed… again🤣
    This is me now:

    The final rose has faded,
    The eaves will sing no more;
The waxen ground will keep you bound,
    Death-pale until the thaw.
Then she placed the rest of Orion's ashes into the bowl and turned to face the Oak of Ages.
I used to go by many names here. Crazycrix, Dubinekdubajs, Yrellian and finally Ariel, one of my favourite characters in the setting. Still waiting for Finubar and Naieth!

Guys(as in, you, forumdweller, not CA) I'm gonna be honest I don't really give a damn about the Roadmap anymore. We know Chorfs are coming in April, and we know there's content after that.

I would have preferred a roadmap three months ago, in fairness!

But I agree with GBone#4408, there is little use in releasing a road map now so close to Chaos Dwarfs. All that will do is get people talking about the future DLC, when CA want us drooling over the Dawi Zharr. So realistically now that its been so long, a roadmap wont be as useful to me now as it will be in late April/ early May.

So our prediction that info on Chorfs would arrive mid March ended up being true, neat.

This also confirms our suspicions that some of the big bugs are getting fixed in 3.0 and not 2.4, like the ranged units one.

I'm not even waiting for the roadmap anymore, one day I'll check the forum and it will be there.

Thanks for the communication. It is however a bit disappointing that a simple road map can take so long. I understand some things are out of your hands.

I hope development for WH3 will become faster once most issues in the base game are resolved.

Don't worry, they have multiple teams and will be releasing content at a faster pace than ever before!

So the roadmap got delayed to April?

It’s going to be the most polished roadmap we’ve ever seen. Almost blinding from how much polish they’ve applied.
With how much they've delayed the roadmap I'm afraid it will inevitably disappoint the community and cause some drama that could've been avoided in the first place. It's kinda crazy they promised two different dates for the roadmap only to delay it again and again. Seriously it's a roadmap, how hard can it be.
This is exactly what will happen. The roadmap will be „ok“ and people will just wonder why that thing couldn’t be released in December or February.

Delaying things again and again just sets the bar higher and higher which is something that can be so easily avoided by CA.

CA really just have themself to blame for every storm that now follow
Pretty much yes. Mistakes like this are just… unnecessary and feel… clumsy.

The negative backlash at this point is inevitable and I just feel sorry for the CMs who have to deal with our anger, even if it isn’t their fault.
I think they've understood that the constant delays of the roadmap have caused high expectations and people will be disappointed if they release it now and it doesn't say anything significative we don't already know or have figured out. So now they'll attend that the community is in a better mood after the DLC to release a vague roadmap without making many waves.

we’ve been working hard on improvements to previous features in the game—such as the line of sight of ranged units on walls and within settlements—

Does this mean that line of sight problems in open field battles aren't being looked up yet?

    Great.

At least one message like it a week, that is the minimum CA :)

Perfect hearing that some serious bugs like the missile unit one are being resolved, that one is game destroying for some factions.

Throughout March, we’ll be working to finalize and polish up those plans with the aim of sharing them shortly after the April release.

Ah, CA's brand of humour is truly special.

So a simple roadmap has been delayed from December to April now?

I think we will get the roadmap eventually in a few years, when support for TWW3 is offically over. It'll be a white screen with a big "NOTHING TO SEE!" on it.

You mean Pamdoar, the chaos god of disappointment and frustration over small things becoming unnecessarily complicated.

No seriously I like that we know when we can expect news about chaos dwarfs. But why push a rough schedule for future ideas away twice? Especially as its not a binding contract, but just rough outline everyone knows is likley going to change.

I mean the absolute fear CA seem to have about publishing any sort of development update or content roadmap is, at this point, absolutely hilarious, BUT credit for answering the main question from the forums and for including a snippet of the Patch 3.0 fixes (and LoS issues is a good one for siege improvements). Keep communicating please.

Hope for the best.. expect to be disappointed

That has been my way of dealing with this company and products for years. Too little WAY too late.

I have every single TW game/dlc that has been released for the past 15 years, I was an avid consumer and despite the usual disappointment I always felt like I got the bang for my buck, but honestly, I'm tired of waiting and waiting and waiting, there is no way I'm waiting this long for extra PAID content.

You take MONTHS, starve your paying base out of content and news just to drop a miserable hint after so long.

It's been a real trip, but this git is finally done with you and your products.

Best of luck to you all.

line of sight of ranged uni- We just wanted pop up towers/walls gone along with the arcady supply points mechanic.
Also you still have left things ambiguous on whether or not there will be a roadmap in mid march.
Request scorched body textures, and fire death effects. At least 30% of all damage in this game comes from fire sources. Request Fire for the Fire God DLC.
