NTW - Blurry or white faded text

Played NTW for years, never had a problem. Started playing again but have noticed text in the game is all blurry/white spotted. This is in the menu pages in game, ie the objectives tabs. This problem goes away in windowed mode, and at one point would only happen on one monitor but now its both. I did get it to stop after fiddling around with steam's big picture mode and opening it through that but that no longer works. Please I've tried to so much to sort this and can't get it to work at all. The worst part is that every screenshot or print screen I take, this effect doesn't appear! HELP!!!
