Is this game not working right on Steam currently? Game says I am offline but I am not

I don't know what is causing this. I played just fine last night but today when I get into the game on my desktop PC on Steam the game says I am offline and it won't show any of my cloud saves. Is there something wrong with the game or Steam? I can play other steam games just fine. The game is up to date and my internet connection is about 1 gig download speed.

There are a few times this occurs and most are down to antivirus software, have a look here as this could help you fix the problem your describing.

Thank you for the response. It appears NordVPN does not like this game some times which I don't understand. Pausing it did work though!
