Since Patch 3.0 ive noticed a lot more "microstuttering" when navigating on the campaign map and moving to a lord/settlement. The same applies when zooming in and out of the map.
Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it? (Only on Campaign maps, battles are fine)
Ive tried to lower my settings which increases the fps, but the UI stays laggy.
Same experience, micro stuttering is a mess now. There was an old UI bug/issue that they had that was fixed, I wonder if it is rearing its head again due to builds..
I am also having this problem after updating 3.0 patch. No problem before update. Lag is in campaign map while selecting armies and settlements, or generally moving around camera. Have no mods, verified game files, and updated drivers.
yeah me too made a similar tread about it. its especially rough when opening settlement UI shown in this video. 1 second freezes every time i click settlements.

Basically it looks like the CPU utilization has changed between 2.6 and 3.0 (probably having something to do with the 'skaven workshop' re-implementation, the game mode powered by Intel where you can change to massive unit scales)
Beforehand I had excellent usage across the power and efficiency cores on my 13900k. However, after this update 8 of the efficiency cores are locked to 100% usage, while the power cores are seeing much less use. This locking of cores to 100% I'd wager is what's causing the stuttering.
I see massive dips in performance on the diplomacy map, jumping between factions as you talk to them. Along with huge dips all across the game map. This is definitely something introduced in 3.0 and it needs to be fixed

Same here. I'm having a mediocore setup (it is in the recommended range for the game) but at lest i could play it smoothly on medium-high graphic 1080p before the 3.0 patch.
Now i'm having massive issues even on lower resolutions and on the absolute (!) minimum on graphic settings (by the way, it looks terrible). 1-20 FPS max on the campaign map, massive stuttering.
Battle fps seem to be ok more or less but the graphic is like i wrote on the absolute minimum, so this could be also the reason for the playable battle fps.
Lags, stutter, delayed/not appearing message boxes and crashes. I enjoyed Chaos dwarves though but game is literally unplayable for me in its current state. I didn't see any official word on what's going on though so I just hope it'll be fixed asap.
Campaign map is the worst offender but battles aren't that great either. : /
I tested the CPU script trick but it didn't help much.
I noticed that checking "hide 3D outlines" in the campaign map improved performance.
Where is this option? Are you talking about "Hide 3D UI" that only appears when you zoom the Campaign camera all the way to the top? Hiding the 3D icons when looking at that screen renders that screen useless because you can't even see any of the players on the map.
Was there some other setting you were talking about? The main complaint is that the stutters occur on the Campaign map when you're moving your Lords, heroes, and armies around, not while viewing the large overhead tactical map (although some people also get stutters there).

0 · Disagree AgreeThat was for the battle system, but it mentioned that cores could end up stuck at 100%.
They’d solved that issue, so hopefully it’s a straightforward fix.
