Hey there folks.

Been spending some time studying the rune forge mechanic that was introduced with the last FLC for TWW2. There is quite a bit of current and older rune lore that is absent from the game which could add some flavor. Interestingly enough, some of the art assets are already in game as Games Workshop would often just rotate one of the runes by 90 degrees and voilà a new rune is created!

Anyway, this post is going to cover current bugs, missing runes, the rune forge UI refresh, materials/reagents.

CURRENT BUGS
- Rune of Stoicism has the wrong icon. It is using the Master Rune of Valaya icon.
Note that the 8th edition army book has these two runes looking very similar. The 6th Edition Revised (6.5) has the correct icon.

- Rune of Courage has the wrong icon. It is using the Master Rune of Swiftness icon.

- Rune of Penetration should be called "Rune of Penetrating" (named incorrectly)



- Rune of Negation goes by the name "Spelleater Rune" (named incorrectly)




MISSING RUNES
Below is a list of all the missing runes.

Perhaps these can be slowly added over time as a limited release alongside appropriate DLC. For example, the slayer and engineering runes could be released with a related DLC (Thrones of Decay), and the rest can come with a revamped Runeforge FLC or even a rune-themed DLC with Kragg the Grim.

I have included the edition number to give you an idea how long these have been around, along with proposed implementation in TWW3. I also have spoilers of the actual effects from the army books. Some feedback would be appreciated. (Also, if you know what Azamar, the Rune of Eternity looks like, please let me know!)

RUNE FORGE USER INTERFACE
Add a new Dwarf-inspired UI to the runeforge
- Similar to Grom the Paunch's Cauldron, and not the Tomb King's Mortuary Cult, so it actually looks like an immersive forge and not a bland online shopping cart.



MATERIALS / REAGENTS / RESOURCES
change "Oath Gold" to "Gromril"
- Gromril is the proper metal base for all runes.


Add Reagents (see spoiler):
- Dragon blood
- Dragon scales
- Dragon horns
- Troll blood
- Troll hides
- Giant blood
- Giant bones
- Orc fangs
- Quicksilver
- Azgal's gold
- Azul metal
