In ProgressRE: Consistent Crash When Starting Immortal Empires Campaign

Exact same issue as I previously reported in my other thread, exact same issue as of the 4.0.1 Hotfix. I've redownloaded the game, updated drivers, yet the game still crashes on starting a campaign when previously for 4.0 it didnt. Its definitely to do with the patch.

I don't have a preferences file cause its a fresh install and game crashes starting a campaign (forgetting all Settings saved)

As of the 4.0.2 hotfix patch my latest attempts now allow me to load into a new immortal empires campaign like normal, but I crash on loading into the first manual battle, repeatedly.

Has there been any progress made identifying the issue?

I've decided to roll back to 3.0 until CA have a handle on this issue. Hope they prioritise this and fix asap. Very keen to play one of the new lords in 4.0.

I've had contact with a SEGA rep, he stated that he'd asked the dev team and that they're aware of and trying to fix the issue, yet currently unable to reproduce it. One common thread I noticed is most (if not all) who have this issue seem to run NVidia GPUs. That's all I know unfortunately.

Thats good to hear that they know and are trying to find out.

Its odd why its specific patches at least that the game works totally fine on (3.0 and 4.0) but the inbetween patches dont.

My personal opinion is add of new heroes + I am not 100% sure, but I think similar issue was there already and it was game trying to launch some version of direct or so and this casue game crashing during battle load

Yeah, the latest hotfix seems to have fixed it on my end. Can start a campaign and can fully complete a manual tactical battle.
